Welp... understandable now why there are not any pictures of the figure online.
Some may see this as a bait-and-switch. It certainly is that. The drop off from the proto is well beyond what many would accept as normal. No skirting the issues here -- lots of work to do to get this looking like what was promised.
Disappointment aside, you do get everything you need to make a solid Wez. Likely never going to see this offered as a figure in 1/6th again.
Height-wise, the figure is good. See last picture below.
The Review:
So first, the head -- BEST part of the piece, thankfully.
The feathers are going to be tough -- they have very sturdy quills so you can't just get them wet and flatten them down. It will take "un-plucking" them and replacing them where they should be. There are plenty of feathers to toy with though.
The shoulder pads need reworking -- or hide that inaccuracy with the feathers.
The pads, gauntlets and shins guards are all a fairly soft rubbery material. They will take on a better shape once the working straps are tightened.
The body gear is also weathered, very dusty looking, which is nice. But it desperately needs some highlighting.
The only hard piece of plastic is the arrow-gauntlet. But that's good.
The body is clearly the worst offender here. It does look like an S&M Ken doll.
The pants are too tight on slim legs. I think some stretching will help give it more lived-in look.
Working straps in the back mean we can fatten his torso up quite a bit too.
Real metal gun, nice knife and 5x arrows make up the loose gear. There's also a chain of some length -- mine came loose in the box but I believe there's a circular space for it in the box.
All in all, it will be a lot of work, but I believe I can get a great Wez figure out of this piece. I hope someone will make a new chest pad with the higher shoulders to replace what's here. Everything else I think can be made to work.
The biggest FIX is a new body. That will solve 70% of the problems with the way the figure looks currently.
