Modern life sculpts and Gesus are the closest to Tom Max I've seen. It depends on who paints your sculpts imo. Look at the unpainted sculpt from Gesus that's Max from FR. View attachment 630683

The figure stand should come with a button that says quotes from the movie once you press it.

It would be Tom Hardy's voice. Mumbling. And no one will understand what he's saying.

In Warrior? 30 percent of the time, I had no idea what Hardy was saying

As Bane? Literally all his dialogue was basically gibberish like Charlie Brown's parents.

In Inception? Probably 1/5th was odd ball muttering.

Capone? Sounded like he was chewing on glass

The Revenant? He was the bad guy, all I could figure out

The Taboo tv series? Mush mouth, but he's wearing a hat and didn't take a shower for clearly for at least 3 months straight.

That being said, I really loved Fury Road. The SKS rifle is a nice addition to have once it hits the loose parts market.

so you are ok with fakes? like pirated dvd with lower quality disc? pretty much stealing. i rather the artist sell 2 grades of the sculpt.

Here's my kitbashed/custom Fury Road Max.
  • Clothing and accessories are from VTS
  • Head sculpt is Jin Toy Studio
  • Base is from Display Heroes
  • Body is the WorldBox Seamless Forearm Arm Set AT020 S C
The under shirt I purchased loose from Monkey Depot and did some custom weathering, I also did some weathering to the VTS black pleather items. I'm having some trouble getting the green bracelet on(witch is probably why Present Toys photo shopped theirs on) but I'll try again in the future or look for an alternate option.

Excellent bash!

I've got that same head sculpt but the Art Figures... figure. I was shopping around for the VTS one but pre-ordered the Present Toys once that was announced. Hopefully I won't regret it.

Those Max kitbash are amazing 👌

Still have my old Max but can't wait to upgrade it with the presentoys figure, also the pleather on mine it's rotting 😕

You had the Gesus painted one, right? So this is a repaint of that one ... or another blank sculpt painted?
No only got it unpainted I shared what Gesus painted sculpt looked like mostly. I did ask him but he said he wasn't able to at the time.

Thought I share. Mad Max sculpt by Gesus painted by SilentSurfer. Super excited to complete my Max. I have to send my leg brace back to Fullmetal to be fix because a piece on it broke off so they got to fix it. 🙃 View attachment 702048View attachment 702049View attachment 702050

Thats got to be one of the best Hardy Max sculpts I've seen and painted to date. Wow. Congrats!

Has anyone else also thought about branching out for a 1/6 BoB V8 Interceptor too? I came across these from a Mad Max fan group on Facebook where it's using a 3D printing you can order that's £300 unpainted and even though they offer the MM1 and 2 Interceptor, I feel like turning the MM2 version into the Fury Road Interceptor could be doable.FB_IMG_1715471121892.jpgFB_IMG_1715471100862.jpgFB_IMG_1715471095515.jpg

Much, much more...
Total for the sculpt was about $680 counting shipping and fees on both when getting the sculpt and getting it painted.
Did this cost as much as the figure? Looks amazing.
Yeah the figure has been a wip for more then 10 years or about 8 since I didn't start until VTS released their Max and I started from there. I've spent more or less close to 4k on this or maybe more. It's almost done and I can finally be satisfied with it.

I was just saying to a friend that I only need two 1/6 vehicles; the 66 Batmobile & Max’s car. I’ve already got the 66 Batmobile so off to look at this guy. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah the guy doing the build is doing a great job! He bought the 3D print and then modded it a bit himself and these are the results as of today, including added Fury Road curtains to the interior.FB_IMG_1715569210275.jpgFB_IMG_1715569225335.jpgFB_IMG_1715569230369.jpgFB_IMG_1715569245288.jpgFB_IMG_1715569253027.jpg

That's beautiful! Can you direct me to the facebook group? I found a 1/6 kit for the car but 900 pounds, not $300. They did have a smaller version for 300, so I'm wondering if there's really a 1/6 for 300 or if it's a mistake? (I'm slightly dyslexic, seems like somethig I might do!).
