Ive made a few out of those brass tubes you can get at the craft store. Then I found some other little bits to finish them. As for balloons I could probably think up of a way to make them, just gotta think about it.

does anyone know where u can get hold of 1/6 scaled street lights for dioramas and other 1/6 scaled items like balloons etc?
There was a street lamp included with the PC Macintosh figure from the Wallace & Grommit "Curse of the Were Rabbit" film. You have to add a painted wooden dowel or some brass tubing or something between the lamp top and the base to make it tall enough, but it the lamp and base both look 1:6 scale.

The balloons that came with the Delerium of the Endless action figure probably would look too small for 1:6 scale. Have you tried partially inflating regular balloons? Or filling regular balloons with expanding insulation foam or some other lightweight substance that will keep its shape (instead of leaking out and deflating the balloon like air would)? Coated wire could look like strings, while providing the strength to keep the balloon aloft and allowing the flexibility to "pose" the balloons around your figure. (Hopefully that made some sort of sense.)

Someone (Wm Shatner's Touppe maybe?) told me that Muppets accessories work in 1:6 scale. Since then I keep an eye on the smaller action figures for accessories that look promising.

thanks for the info guys, will look into it. i wanted a street lamp to add to a diorama i have in mind of a street. the base will jst be a road so iwas guna add a lamp in the corner jst for a little accessory.

for the balloons nice idea about the filling em with something instead of air. i thought about using the balloons that are used for water bombs from joke shops, they are smaller than reg balloons so cud work??

also, i used to work at toys r us and in there barbie section, they had the dolls of her kids with play accessories and toys etc, so they might have done toy balloons in a scale that may fit right qwith a 1/6 figure?

pennywise tea? :naughty

lol...maybe :D yeah saya the balloons are for the pennywise when i can get him. the street lamps where for something else, but now u mention penny, they would prob look cool too.

for a pennywise base iwas thinking a part of the sewer or jst a base of grass would look good.

grass with a knocked over trycicle or a teddy bear on it :p

real balloons will deflate and there would be hardly any air in 'em to begin with.

how bout making them from sculpy?

I would go with sculpy, too...and use wires to prop them up...or go with something lighter like crayola model magic clay that air dries. The crayola stuff is pretty light so thin wires would be able to hold it up.

i did think of looking at some cake decorations. last time iwent to a cake shop here to order 1 for my dads 50th i noticed they sold quite biggish decorations like champaigne bottles etc, so might have a look see if they have any balloons that look right size wise with a 1/6 figure, if so i can use wire to hold em up.

ScorpionDeadman: awsome idea for a dio, i had something like that in mind. i guess a small toy teddy wud be easier to get. might look at seeing if i can get any good screen caps of any newspapers from 'it' to make scaled down newspapers with the cover about the killings.

If you want 1/6th toys Barbie is definately the way to go,i had quick look on ebay and found aload of stuff that could look good with a little paint.
Strangely i couldn't find a teddy just lots of bikes and hairdryers.

I think i'll get one of these when I can afford a pennywise :D

You could steal the little kids' balloons from Mattel's "Birthday Party Kelly" (or Tommy, or whoever) dolls! :D IIRC, Mattel did a series of the Kelly kids with a circus theme. I think one of the kids wore a clown costume and had a bunch of (plastic) balloons.

ReMent has a Birthday Sweets set with three balloons, but they're shaped like stars or those "Happy Birthday Balloons" metallic balloons.

ScorpionDeadman: Craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, or even the craft section at Wal-Mart have small stuffed teddy bears and rabbits. IIRC, they're in the section with the material for making dolls and teddy bears. There should be tiny plastic teddy bears in the cake decorating and wedding sections. 1:6 scale teddy bears (and other stuffed animals) also are part of the "Only Hearts Club" line of dolls. I've found them at Target, an aisle or two away from the Barbie stuff.
