Just thought I would share my first "stab" at making a one sixth syringe.

Im really hard on brushes so I buy cheap ones that I can throw away and so I had these laying around and it got me thinking. I thought it would be easy to turn them down on a lathe to make the base and sure enough it was. Its basicly in three parts. First is the main body that is turned and polished. The second is the plunger that was turned and sanded so that it would have an semi-translucency. And finally the third part is a hair from a brush that I cut and painted. Its great ebcuase its closer to scale and I dont have to worry about breaking it becuase its still flexible.

I dont have a lathe and I cant seem to find on that small anyway so I clamped a drill to my table and used it instead. Worked great. Used a combinations of sand paper, exacto knife, files and other things laying around. I don't think its too bad for a first try. I roughed the scale and size but if I get time, I'm going to scale it accurately so its looks right. This one seems a little short and a touch too thick.

Problem is they are hand made and not cast. Cost of materials is almost nothing but the time it takes to turn each one may make it too expensive for people. I'll have to think about it.

Sorry Rob I just glanced over your post and didn't read it fully, I see now that this is more a personal project of yours, I could actually make this myself if I can find something similar to the clear plastic you got from that brush.

Edit:Is that the top of a clutch pencil?

robbie when you get back into making stuff again keep me in mind for those bone claws their awesome and i can't wait to buy a pair from you. thanks, luis

Oh that looks superb. Let us know If you ever decide to sell any.

I suppose casting in copies in clear resin would be out of the question as they're too small?

I have been searching all over for one of these for my dex figure with no luck, if you sell them please please hit me up
