I just got my first Ujindou figure. UD9010, I have to say I'm impressed with it overall. I'm about a year collecting 1/6 figures and I've only ever bought DID figures. So I'm used to the best in regards to quality/detail etc.

The figure body is the only thing I'm not so keen on. The boots/feet slot on/off which I'm not sure about. They could end up getting loose and falling off maybe!!?

Some points;
- Boots are real leather
- Gaiters are canvas and real leather I think!?
- Motorcycle gloves have pleather parts
- The mess kit is plastic
- The shovel is plastic but cover is real leather.
- Belt is real leather
- Grenade is metal and wood
- StG 44 is plastic (piece broke off mine straight away, the part you pull back on a spring. The cock? 😄
- The Telo Mimetico camo coat is well made and fur lined.
- Fur hat is cool but smells, maybe materials used!!
- StG 44 canvas ammo pouches are good quality and well made
- Afrika Korps style canvas Y Straps also

Looks good.

I like the fur they used. The coat looks very snuggly. lol

Does the tunic button up as in the box photo? I can't see a buttonhole

Yeah the tunic and the coat both button up with those tiny black popper buttons. I'd prefer if they used the bigger metal ones DID have started using on their tunics again. They're OK I guess. A bit fiddly to open and close the jacket is impressive and good quality

Ujindou don't seem to have a standard way of doing things. Sometimes working buttons, sometimes poppers, sometimes metal weapons, sometimes plastic.

I'm always afraid of breaking the pins on the plastic poppers.

Those ankles are the same as on Paddy Mayne, which made it easier to make him taller. I replaced the cups with cut down pen tops. If they get loose a bit of blue tack on the ends should stop his boots falling off.

The pea dot camo is a bit off and not correct. The pants seem a little too baggy also comparing to DiD pants. So I think I'll change them. The body I didn't like so I swapped it onto a last gen DiD Body.
I ran into a problem with the headsculpt because it didn't fit onto the peg on the DiD body so I had to remove the part glued onto the bottom of the HS and glue on a DID one. Overall decent figure for the price. But theres room for improvements by Ujindou for sure.

Weird coincidence, because half an hour ago I was adapting a couple of necked sculpts for use with DID and other bodies. QMx's Picard and SW's Hannibal Lecter heads were designed to be plugged directly onto the Ganghood muscle body that the manufacturers had sliced the rubber neck from.

So I was pulling the plugs out of them and gluing in those rings instead.

DID bodies are good, but unfortunately not universal.

Yes, agree. The pants seem too baggy

I was looking at camo trousers yesterday, comparing to an old pair I wanted to use for a second figure to make from the upcoming DID Jager.

They could be pretty baggy, and also fashionably so for the period.

The HJ soldier with the bandaged head and the one on the far right holding his arm:

And this chap posing proudly for his photograph:

I actually bought a pair of these Ujindou Italian camo trousers for a kitbash I'm working on. That guy in photo same pants. They were panzer uniforms the trousers were baggier.
