I have myself convinced that between the GI Joe line and the Star Wars line...niether can crap on the other. "Awesome" permeates both lines and drips from each offering like a warm syrup down a stack of IHOP pancakes.

I just pre-ordered the regular edition. My first Sideshow SW fig!! I've been collecting the Joe line for a couple of years, but with Zartan coming out in a few weeks and nothing else on the horizon until SE version 2, I'm going to be jonesing!!!

I'm pretty excited, but I really hate opening this can of worms. I have a collection of about 2500 3 3/4 SW figs and have really tried to keep myself from getting into the 1/6 Sideshow SW figs. Aw well...

I have a similarly sized 3-3/4" collection. But I gave them up for the Star Wars Sweetness of Sideshow's line.

I doubt that I'll ever sell my collection. I haven't purchased any figures in like 8-10 years, but I have a ton of stuff and would hate to see it go.

I got into the Sideshow stuff more recently and try to keep my purchases under control. I don't mind dropping $150 every 2-3 months on 1/6th figs because I'd probably blow that amount on nothing items anyway. Also, when I'm not making action figure purchases day after day, week after week, it doesn't feel I'm blowing all of my money on toys. I get my "inner child" fix every couple months and it keeps me happy.

Really? How do you figure the SS trumps the medi. The medi rotj fett is as darn near perfect as you can get. Not a flaw in quality,paint, or proportions. Given the paint apps on ss version are amazing, but the gauntlets are under-sized, and the helmet is too big for the body.
I understand this is an SSC forum, but this seems like a flawed statement... more biased then factual. I'm very much looking forward to finally getting SSC fett...but medi rotj fett for now holds the title as the best 1/6th fett to date.
Do you own medi's ROTJ fett?

Pure SS fanboy Speculation at this point sorry brah. The Medi is a GREAT figure (especially the ROTJ version) To say that without even having the figure in hand is nothing but.


The proto of the SS figure looks GREAT, but the final product remains to be seen. I sure hope it's the best one yet, no excuse not to be IMO.

Nevermind, I found it... It includes an exclusive ugly mandalorian display base with the already awesome light-up display base that comes with the regular version... Lol...

I love it but Medicom ROTJ Fett isn't perfect either nor is their ESB version...Plastic girth belt molded to the cod piece, cheap looking plastic belt and pouches, jet pack attached too high on the back plate, cheap looking wire hose attached to gauntlets, shoulder bell armor attached too high on the vest, visor is flat black, brittle body on the ESB. I fixed a lot of those issues with my Fetts and swapped the ESB body out.

In comparison, there are lots of things that are done better on the Sideshow Fett right out of the box.
