Hey guys,
I have a question I would like you thoughts on, I have a HT Chopper Predator in perfect condition with the box and it's going for over $600 on ebay, but on the other hand there are lots of other figures that i don't have and would like to own (Mark 1 & 2, Original Suit Batman from TDK, T-600 rubber skin version). So my question is should I hold on to my valuable Predator or trade it in for more figures in my collection.

no doubt, all the Predators and Iron Man 2 figures coming out that I want, this figure could help pay for those, Hmmmmm very tempting.

I'd be a liar if I said i'm not waiting til the original Predator hits around $400-$500 to sell it. I see it as the only strategy these days. How else do you get all that you want?

Sell it if you're not a big fan of AVP.
Especially if you can get 5 ( probably more impressive ) figures from different movies you like a lot more.

Weigh your options. How much do you enjoy having that Predator in your collection? If I had something I completely coveted in my collection then I wouldn't sell it to obtain other less important figures; even if that something was going for crazy money. If -on the other hand- you have something that's selling for a lot of coin that you don't really have a special connection with, then it may be worth selling.

I really like having him but I could have more variety in my collection. I like the new Preds that are comming out and the IM2 War Machine a lot, I could get all 3 of those figures for just the one Predator, you guys are great at helping other collectors with the tough decisions. :clap

I always thought the AVP preds are meant to be in a set. If the Chopper is lonely by himself, it's probably better to trade him in and get other HT figures. When the classic pred comes out, you can get that which is perfectly fine to display as a stand alone piece.

Well if I decide to sell it do you think anyone would want to buy it here on SSF or should I go to FEEbay?

Ebay for the win. I find that returns are higher.

But it really depends if you want it to go to a fellow collector or if you just want more money lol

Think about how much you want this Predator.. And project how much you'll kick yourself later on if you sell it and regret doing so. :)

These new upcoming figures can be bought much easier in the sense that you don't have to drop big money right away, since they are on pre-order..
The Chopper Predator, if you are to re-acquire it, will require big money upfront!

If you can sell it to pick up " Several Affordable Ones" do it...but by "several" do you really mean a "couple" or a "few"?

It really depends. It is probably not going to be worth it if you are going to want to purchase him later down the road. He might be the same price or even worst, more expensive. BUT if you are sick of him and would rather enjoy something new, then I would not even think twice. I know there's such a thing called quality versus quantity but with Hot Toys you really can't go wrong, well not much anyways, hehe. Good luck!

It seems like it would be 3 figures to the one predator, I like Chopper but my wife has killed my funds for future figs so I will need to get my fix from selling figures and other toys I have.

It should never be about quantity, IMO. It should be about which one you like more, which one is worth it to you.

If you're more passionate about Predators than Ironman or Batman, I would stick with the Predator figure.

If that's the case, then sell the Chopper for some other Hot Toys boxed sets you like. The fact that you're contemplating on selling him, I think you want other boxed sets more than him. :wave
