I need some suggestions on a small 19-21" TV for my bedroom. I checked the Best Buy site and the highest rated one is this:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9182715&type=product&id=1218049845221

I know nothing of this brand so I have no idea if it's good. If anyone can give me any suggestions I would appreciate it. I really don't want to pay over $300 for it since it's just for my room and I want to save my money for a really nice, big one for my family room.

Thanks!

what plugins will you have available; hdmi, dvi, vga, component, s-video? HD?

Right now, I'm just replacing an old tube tv and I only have regular cable.

I'm a virgin to all this stuff. :lol

It's just to watch while I'm in bed. The only thing I'll have hooked to it is a DVD player.

It doesn't sound like you're constructing a home theatre. Go to Best Buy, stand where you'll be bedtime watching and if the size works go for it. Cost is cheap, better than you're old tube. Last Christmas I bought my dad a 27 inch insignia to put in his bedroom. Best Buy 300 bucks. He likes it, works just fine :)

I plan on doing that but I just thought if someone has a small tv that they could recommend, then I'd know I was getting something worthwhile. Compared to what I have in there, it wouldn't take much! :lol

Not much of a diff at that size. 720P is fine, look at HDMI connects etc to chose at this size. 1080P is not needed until you hit in the 40+" category...But I loved LCD over Plasma!

I would agree with this. If you're not even going to get HD channels, then an LCD 720p is probably the best. What else you want with it will decide which one to get.

From my experience, 32" is good for an average sized bedroom. I've had a Westinghouse 32w6 for the past 3 years and have been very happy with it.

Also check computer monitors--the one I have has HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA, DVI--all the things necessary except for a remote. And there are some that have remotes.

I want to get a 50-60" for my family room and I'm still debating on which way to go with it, plasma or LCD. I'll cross that bridge when it comes though.

love my 1080 LCD with the HD converter. i picked up a 46" vizio for around 900..........i've never had a problem with it & absolutely love the picture.

for just sitting in the bedroom with a dvd player and normal cable then what you're looking at is fine, though you might want to go a little bigger, 19" is a little small and you might wish that you had gotten a bigger one later on.
