Another Superbowl behind us...and another Poppies awards! I've posted the results of the 2011 Poppies, with the winners selected by the 140 judges. There's a few suprises in there, at least to me, and later this week I'll be posting the results of the People's Picks as well, with a comparison write up. You can find the results at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and congrats to all the winners!

EDIT: Hey Michael, can you post some pics of the awards you're getting made up and a pic of the previous awards (or certificates) you've given out. Just curious as to what they look like. Thanks.

I got my nephew that imaginext space shutte for christmas :lol

I'm surprised the MK V took 3rd place, it's good but the lack of silver paint jobs takes alot away from it, i would've figured the Classic or Shadow Predator being among the top three

I agree about being surprised by Superman winning... while I prefer Superman over Jack, there is no denying (at least in my mind) which figure was more impressive in hand. I honestly can't think of a single production 1/6 figure that was more spot-on than Jack :huh

I agree with you bro, but HT is becoming like Apple products what ever they do is best because it's Iphone.

Christopher Reeve Superman was my favorite release from last year. But, Jack Sparrow comes in as a close second. Both of them are amazing figures.

Enterbay T-800 was the easier winner for me this year. Nothing Hot Toys, Sideshow, or anyone else put out came close.

I would've been happy to see T-800 in the mix, but not top spot. T-800 is an impressive figure but the sheer complexity and tight execution of the Jack Sparrow set trumps it imo. As much as I was impressed with Supes though, it did have a lot of accompanying hype to carry it through these gongs.

Yep, Supes definitely has the stronger nostalgia factor and is a figure people have been wanting made for 30 years... so a well executed figure is going to get a bump. But even though I'd choose to keep Superman over Jack in a heart beat, there is no denying that Jack is just a better overall figure.

Supes is a 10, Jack knocked it up to 11 :lecture
