After reading about him on wiki, I do know who he is, but I only knew him as the door god who guards against evil spirit along with his partner.

This head sculpt is based on the same actor who played as Qin Shubao from the TV drama Heroes from the Sui and Tang Dynasties in 2013.

That price tag is freaking crazy. Great figure, but I can think of a lot of things I rather do with $649.

One of my local retailers has it in the neighbourhood of 450usd (after conversion).

Still very expensive, but no more so than 3A's transformers figures.

1. I don't know who this guy is.. ( I searched him and read description..still not so interested..)
2. not a big fan of nipple armor
3. not a big fan of weird weapon design..Is it based on some real reference?
4. They will do 2.0 in 2 years and charge 150% , so why bother now

You have to read Sui Tang Yan Yi or watch the TV drama to appreciate why Qin Shubao was a big deal like Guan Yu back in the Three Kingdoms period.

I’m not a fan of nip chest armor either so I would remove the nip piece like in this pic if I bought him. The scale armor is pretty cool, and it looks like a museum piece, but I hope the price falls in the $350 range.

I read all Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature and Modern wuxia novels by Jin Yong, Gu Long, Liang Yusheng..etc.
I think that's enough for me.

I’m not a fan of nip chest armor either so I would remove the nip piece like in this pic if I bought him. The scale armor is pretty cool, and it looks like a museum piece, but I hope the price falls in the $350 range.
