Wondering if anyone has experience printing 1/6 heads or hands and if they have a preference on printers?

I haven't printed such parts yet but obviously if looking for your first printer then avoid FDM if making 1:6 stuff, the layer lines will be too obvious and no fine detail. SLA resin printers are what you want. Entry level ones (like Elegoo Mars) will get you good results (so long as you calibrate it, same for any printer) but if you have experience printing I assume you want something with better detail than even a standard resin printer, so maybe a pricier 4K printer will be what you are after. 8K printers may be overkill honestly, no way eyes will be able to see the difference.

I have an Anycubic 4k liquid resin printer I got for around $300. Highly recommend and its worth its weight in gold. Like jazter said, definitely avoid FDM.
