The Hot Toys head sculpt was perfect. This one seems really off to me, but it's definitely a cheaper alternative.

I've been a longtime Golgo 13 fan. To me the best Golgo 13 Headsculpt was the old Skynet 12" figure, which I own. The Hot Toys figure had incredible parts. This one has a odd headsculpt due to the fact that they added more realistic details to a very cartoony character. They added textured skin and hair. The result is a little awkward. That being said I will gladly pick it up since it has a decent price point and I can customize it with my old Skynet. Kinda excited now.

What an ugly, ugly man. He looks like a wierd mix of a horse, gorilla, and a caveman. Pretty good imagining of what the manga version's face would look like in a more realistic fashion and I'm still excited for it tho.. Golgo is that cool.

but seriously. how does a guy that looks like a steamrolled gremlin get that many chicks?

FYI, this is in stock at BBTS. Came into my Pile. Debating if I should keep him or not though, considering how basic the figure is, and I don't really know much about this company or their products. Anyone get this? If so, any thoughts?

Looks pretty good... and not a bad price. But I haven't seen any reviews or in-hand pics yet.

Seems to be a licensed figure. Sold out on all the Asian sites. And doubtful many U.S. retailers are gonna carry him. So, probably not a bad idea to buy first and ask questions later. Price is probably only going to go up. But a lot of that depends on figure quality, as well.

Well I'm not even 100% sure what company is involved in what capacity here. This site:

Says the release is 3R (which is DID I guess?) in conjunction with "Fewture." A google search gives me this:

Which listes DID figures and this guy, so I guess that's accurate. Maybe I should alter the thread title. . .may not be "ART STORM," whatever that is. "STORM TOYS" made the Tyson figure.

If it is DID quality, then I reckon this figure will be pretty decent, and similar to the prototype.




*a bit troubling that the 3R site has "3reich" in the title, as if their company is named/inspired by the 3rd Reich??

OK, did a little more digging, and found this:

Fewture used to make a lot of cool anime figures... not a lot of poseability, but great sculpts and paints. Seem to recall a lot of Devilman figures in the mid-2000's

I think the headsculpt is the weak part of this figure. Hot Toys really nailed theirs. It's a shame it goes for so much these days though.

3R IS DID.

They just operate under a different name when they produce Nazi figures to avoid any unpleasant-ness.

So yes, I would bank on this figure having DID quality.
