Here's my second attempt at Locke. Most of the effort was figuring out what I did when painting him the first time, repeating what worked and trying different things for what didn't. The beard of stubble, for one thing.

The key in painting this guy is to not get in the way of Andy's sculpt. Andy did all the work for you.

Carbo-fation, I thought about doing commission work but I don't think I'd react well to the pressure and I'm not good enough to handle a wide variety of heads. (But I'm not above doing a few heads on spec and putting them on eBay from time to time -- like my repainted Medicom Wolverine on eBay now and my first John Locke to follow soon ) But I just don't think I could handle the pressure of painting for someone else.
