45 years ago today (Sept. 26, 1969), Abbey Road by the Beatles was released. I personally think this is their best album, and one of the best musical albums ever made. This would be a good day to give it a listen if you haven't in awhile, and BUY IT if you don't already own it. For those who are familiar, what's your favorite song from the album? Mine is "You Never Give Me Your Money." It's opening melody is possibly my favorite from the Beatles, then it has these really cool transformations similar to A Day in the Life, another one of my favorites.

Few years ago, someone broke into my car just to steal the Abbey Road CD on the dashboard. True story. :lol

Abbey Road is probably my favorite Beatles record. I tend to swing back n forth between it and Revolver. Not sure which track is my fave. It changes too. When I was in high school "I Want You "Shes So Heavy)" was my fave. Sometimes I like George's two songs the best. He was really blasting off with his song writing. But I think I always come back to this as my favorite track.

I especially like the a capella version. The vocals are so precise you could cut something with them.

Definitely my favorite Beatles album. I would say their best. One of my favorites is definitely "You Never Give Me Your Money". However I'll even take it further and say that whole medley starting with "You Never Give Me Your Money" to the end of the album(The End), with Paul, John, and George trading off solos, is my favorite from the album.:)

When deciding on my Beatles tattoo, I juggled two options: a silhouette of the Abbey Road cover wound up being the runner up to the Help! cover.

It's not my second favorite album of theirs (and Help! isn't my favorite - it's just awesome), but it's so, so good.

Oddly enough, it's most notable aspect is probably what drops it a few notches for me. Don't get me wrong - I love the side B medley. But at the same time, I'd rather have an entire album of fully fleshed out songs, which is why AB drops a few albums from the top for me.

But hot damn, what an album.

A couple weeks back, I literally spent about ten hours over the span of two days listening to isolated Beatles tracks - vocals, bass, etc. Just listen to this and try not to get chills. It's like being in the booth while Paul's just going off.

The harmonies on this... klg;sdfkgjhlsdfkglfd. They almost make me angry, they're so good. This is the kind of song that seems like it should be what you hear when you die and float up to Heaven.

Speaking of those harmonies, and my post above - if they ever released each individual recorded track (as far back as possible, since I don't think they have all of them), it is perverse how much money I'd pay for that. Both curiosity as to their recording process, as well as the fact that lots of isolated stuff is amazing on its own (the Rain bass line)... together they're amazing, and individually, as well.

Yep, favourite album and You Never Give Me Your Money has always been my fave track from it.

Other favourites are I Want You (She's So Heavy), Mean Mr. Mustard, Carry That Weight and Her Majesty. Whole album is fantastic, but those are the highlights for me.

Abbey Road is outstanding. Im glad they got back together for one last album after the "Get Back" sessions, cuz boy is Abbey Road a much happier album then Let It Be. Lots of excellent songs here, my favorites are: You Never Give Your Money, Here Comes The Sun, I Want You, She Came In Through the Bathroom Window, Golden Slumbers. That whole medley is great.

Yeah, Im glad they wrapped it up with that one. Abbey Road is up there with my favorites, with my favorite is Rubber Soul/Revolver. Those two go hand in hand for me. Those three and the White Album are my favorites. I think. :lol

Because, through to Her Majesty is one of the finest sequences of music ever recorded.

I Want You is still my favorite.

I think their best album was Sgt. Peppers.

My favorite song from the Abbey Road album is Come Together. Best beat and rhythm in my opinion.
