Re: Help: Need polystone statue repair

The only thing you can do is glue it back on. You can use a air dry expoxy to fill in any gaps. Then try to paint the colors to match. It looks like the mask is a flat color so that will help a lot. If glued right the paint will look flat and make the crack disappear after a couple coats.

Re: Help: Need polystone statue repair

Try using apoxie sculpt from AVES. It works great for filling gaps and making modifications. Fixit Sculpt also works well, though I think its more expensive. The most difficult thing will be matching the paint...

Re: Help: Need polystone statue repair

It looks like a very clean break Jedah, so the seam shouldn't be that visible. Good luck!

Re: Help: Need polystone statue repair

You know what? It actually looks cool with the cut across the helmet.

Re: Help: Need polystone statue repair

I'd suggest you contact a garage kit builder/painter who can fix the break and repaint the helmet. I recommend Thad Rhodes without hesitation. He's built some very special kits for me, and if you peruse his blog you'll see that he's rescued some really messed up pieces.
