Here are 5 8x11 inch LOTR portrait paintings we finished recently in anticipation of the two Hobbit movies which begin filming in a month or two! The 5 portraits are for sale and the ones that are unsold may go to Ebay in a few weeks

I like the portraits much better than the big group works. I admire the incredible talent on all of them, but the composition on the group ones is a mess.

And that is why it is art.

I feel the same way about these as I do about the movie posters. I feel like the composition is really random and there isn't much that ties all the characters together. The talent is undeniable though!
