man, I thought going to the bigger 1/4 scale would give you more room to make things looking better, guess this one missed the mark. (though the 1/4 base body is something new.)

I think that it looks great, for a huge... hot anime girl. And interesting that it had the skinny girl look and another that had the voluptuous look with the hips. For the anime style, it makes sense and looks appropriate.

But for that scale, we all expect more detail. With Anime though, more details and you lose the animated look.

I agree and I think she looks great, the curves are what really nail the Anime look to me. I think they did a good job on her.

That's a very different design for the elbow joints. Not my cup of tea, but an interesting figure.

Apparently the body style is a 'ball jointed' doll. Quite a large following for this type of figure in Japan. They are usually customized to painful extents and are extremely expensive.

But even though this one is not at that level, if price of the previous figure of this line is any indicator... this could be well over $500!!

All of a sudden it might not be that cool.

I like my legs, how about just break..... hmmmm.... no, I dont think I want any part of me to be broken.

Anyways, I do find the 1/4 body to be interesting, meaning I can see that there are possiblity with it with other characters. (the upper region does look nice. ) But the Head.....oh man, I am not a fan of ikki tousen, but I have seen enough of that girl that I just find that hs and hair are crap. It look more like a blythe doll or one of those japanese barbie head instead of the actual character.

I think she looks good for the aesthetic they are going for, which is obviously a BJD look.

The first VMF50 Minmay (Which I preordered) is less BJD-ish but still is obviously leaning towards that look even if less so than Kanu. I love both Kanu and Minmay but couldn't justify the Kanu as I already have probably over 30 figures of her and Not a particular fan of the BJD look. Minmay however is iconic and this Minmay will be a great centerpiece in my macross collection.
