A little Battlestar Galactica help...

ok I know I am three seasons to slow but I want to get into the new Battlestar Galactica series. Just a little help as I look for where to begin. I see there are seasons 1-3 on iTunes as well as a miniseries. Where do I start?

Good choice, man! Best show on TV right now, IMO! You should start with the miniseries and then go from there onto Seasons 1-3. The first season should suck you right in, so you'll be hooked from the beginning.

Just finished season 2.0 last night, it was awesome (can't wait to get to season 2.5 and 3.0).

Josh, by miniseries do you mean the pilot? Thats where I would start.

no there was a mini series that was prior to season 1. you could watch season one but you'd miss out on a lot of plot/story/character development. also, why not?? it rocks!!!!

Excellent series. I love this show, definitely one of the best things on tv. I miss most of it on the tube so I bought the box sets for seasons one and 2. Can't wait to get season 3. If you buy the season 1 box set, the 4 hour(I believe) miniseries pilot is included with it.

Definitely start with the mini-series. You won't regret getting into BSG. It's the best show on television. I love the soundtracks too.

If anyone missed anything this season -- shame on you, it's the best season yet! But you get a reprieve as there's a big long marathon tomorrow starting at 8am with "The Occupation" and running until 7pm with "The Eye of Jupiter" on (where else) Sci-Fi. So set your DVRs to TiVo it.

just don't watch ANY episode if you don't want to get spoiled. TONS of plot twist excist in this show and they don't exactly hide these twist in existing episodes in later seasons. Hell yea GDB, can't wait for the marathon tomorrow.

the mini series shows the cylons destroying the colonies, chasing off the stragglers, and literally leaves off where season 1 starts. thats all.... no special cast, nothing is different other than the cylons kicking arse!!!!

Well now, that is reason enough (far too little cylon arse-kicking in the series as far as I have seen it).

i might have exaggerated a little bit though.... dont expect total apocalypse in the mini series. it does show the tension between all the characters. i recommend watching it!!! you can never get enough of the new BSG.

The very first episode ("33") of Season 1 is still one of the most intense of the entire series. They've really been able to maintain that feeling throughout the show.

yeah i thought it was last night so i sat in front of the tv waiting for it. i wonder if the new time change is a bad sign??
