Originally this message was intended as a reply to a comment a board member made in another section but I thought it best to start another thread because the board needs some healing. I am not out to start a fight but I see a division growing and what appears to be a watershed for the Sideshow Freaks Board. I want to preface my message by saying that I am not, and will not apologize for my opinions. However, what I am willing to apologize for is hurting anyone in the process. I try to be as civil as possible but sometimes written language on an Internet board doesn't come off as it should. Here is the message...
I say this to all those reminiscing about the old board and the days when everyone was a Sideshow cheerleader and nothing negative was said about Sideshow- it's unrealistic to have such high expectations for a company and a group of people. Sideshow will make mistakes one day that even the "cheerleaders" will have a hard time getting behind. Furthermore, it really does take two opposing sides to discuss something and to make it interesting. How boring would this board be if everyone was just in love with everything with no difference of opinion?
I do not have a problem with Sideshow cheerleaders but I do have a problem with some people saying that negative things can't be said about Sideshow. I know a lot of people here were very upset about the lottery system that Sideshow tried to pull off and no one here was giving them any grief, and I think this is in part because the Sideshow "cheerleaders" were in fact not happy about it and troubled by Sideshow's move to implement it. Why give board members grief about their problems and concerns about Fett being plastic and how Sideshow made that move... because we all know that's what we are really talking about here.
I guess what I am trying to say is, everyone should stop being so closed minded and open up more to the opinions of all that post on this board. It isn't a fair or realistic expectation to demand complete and unconditional love from every board member, all the time. Most people on here like or love Sideshow or else we wouldn't be here, but the people running the company are human and do make mistakes as do the people on this board. So my hope is that everyone can lighten up and stop taking things so personally.
