Greetings from sunny California. (Actually, it's more like rainy California at the moment).
I am rather new to the hobby, but not new to some aspects of it (ie: re-rooting vinyl heads, sewing for miniatures, etc). I've just recently gotten my first 1:6 scale figure, a Side Show Faramir, from Lord of the Rings. Well, second, if we are including the 27cm Parabox Obitsu I got way back in 2007 or so. I think I'm most interested in learning how to further customize figures, such as kit-bashing (I think that's the right term?), re-rooting/re-hairing, and repainting. I already do quite a bit of sewing, so I just have to learn how to sew smaller.
Aside from my obvious interest in miniatures and 1:6 figures, I also do creative writing, costuming, Renaissance Faires, and mmorpgs. I used to do a lot of musical theater and cosplay however.
I think that's all I've got. I'm really bad at these introduction things. >.<
