Ha ha! Thought the thread title was a comment about his film career.

I can turn my brain off and enjoy a moronic comedy as much as most people can, but it just seems like he doesnt even try anymore, not that he ever tried that hard. His recent movies make Waterboy and Happy Gilmore look like high brow entertainment.

There was a brief time (Punch Drunk Love) that I thought he might actually attempt to do something more meaningful with his career.

"Punch Drunk Love" is my least favorite Sandler film. :lol

As for his roles in Spanglish, Reign Over Me, and Funny People, I thought they were great. Proof that Adam is able to do it all when it comes to acting. He is more than just a "funny man".

Adam Sandler: You're not funny anymore ........... would be a more appropriate title. Andy Samberg is where it's at nowadays imo.

:lol I also thought this was going to be like Adam actually doing an interview or documentary where he finally answers for Jack and Jill. :rotfl

He was good early in his career but like alot of comedians he never evolved past that. He tryed with things like Spanglish and Punch Drunk but imo way too late as he was already type cast for way too many years unlike Bill Murray.

But SNL, Airheads, Billy Madison, and Happy Gilmore are all great stuff. After Happy he lost it and just kept making the same movie.
