First off, awesome job on the Vader 1:1 bust, I knew if he was ever made it would be a must have item, but I never expected how awesome he would really be. Needless to say he's already ordered :rock

I do wonder if since the stand is not finalized for the Vader 1:1 bust, if there is any chance of seeing a dummy/extra neck (minus all the extra internal details) added to the stand so that one could have a full mask displayed next to an unmasked Vader?

I know it might be a bit redundant, but I think it would make the stand even more of a impressive item to own. As well as add a great deal of value to a display.

Well even if I'm the only one, I wouldn't mind an answer. Feel free to tell me I'm dumb for asking :lol

Thanks fellas...

And King, just wondering if there is anyway the prototype stand could also include an additional neck piece that would allow one to display a full mask when also displaying a unmasked Vader.

So basically rather than this style display (helmet w/o neck):

You'd have this next to Vader:

if they dont i am going to put the helmet back in the box and showcase my MR helmet next to it, because without the neck piece it looks stupid. i wonder how the helmet compares to the MR anyways

Definately NOT redunt, and YES I support you all the way on this! Hopefully SS reads this and does it.

Alright, so it took a few days but we have some other interested parties.

I don't know how detailed the neck would need to be, but I think it would be doable w/minimal detail, probably just need the tusks and could leave the back w/o the extra detail similar to what how the MR looks:

That's a good idea!
I'm all for it as long as it doesn't raise the already expensive price tag.

The main thing I'd like to see changed is the chain for the cape. MAKE IT A REAL CHAIN, PLEASE! If mine comes in and the chain is a plastic cut-out, I'll FREAK!!!!!
I'm not spending $1250 for them to go cheap on something simple like that.
Another list of upgrades that would be ideal.
Tighten the bottom portion of the mask so that it fits snug around back of the head.(just looks too open compared to the real prop)
Add some more greeblies to the inside of the mask.
Use acrylic eyes!!!!!!! That would make this bust sell 10x faster!

Oh and make sure you keep an eye on the factory! I don't want them half ass washing the castings and not priming before painting.
Don't want to see another IronMan bust fiasco!

There is no way they will add a neck piece for the stand with the exclusive. There would be extra costs there and they already have the price point set for what they are selling. "Maybe" they could sell a neck piece as a separate add on piece though.

Yes and no... the stand shown appears to be a rendering, not even a physical example.

Whose to say it would cost much more to take the neck, and replicate it as a permanent part of the stand. The piece is already made and being cast, just be a way to reuse it.

Sure its bigger and probably does increase cost, but it would be cool that if we are paying and extra $50 for a stand we could get something that is a real "stand" out.

Great idea on the chain. I guess I just assumed it would be metal w/ SS. Did you hear it would be plastic? Because if is was, that would be a bummer on a piece that looks outstanding right knowl

I submitted a question to Sideshow's Q & A, so maybe we'll get a response there.

Did you include the chain being metal? And thanks again for the idea on the stand and submitting the question.

Why do people assume the chain isn't metal? The chain closing Vader's cape isn't a normal chain we're used to seeing, it's a unique design and I'm sure the bust chain is made of metal.

As for people thinking adding the neck piece of the mask to the base would be too much, you may be thinking people want it to be just like the one on the bust, not necessary, you don't need all the electronics and such inside, it's not for that purpose, you just need the outer black piece and the tusks so when you mount the mask and dome, it forms a complete Vader mask. Really, I'd be fine without all the detailing on the back of the neck piece either, just smooth it out like it was in all the scenes where it was Prowse walking around. The real desire for the neck piece in the stand is that instead of just having the mask and dome mounted, you could have the appearance of a complete Vader head and for that you only need the base collar piece, no extras inside or out, and the 2 tusks and done.

I actually think they'd make a better display if there wasn't a neck piece. That way it's obvious that the free-standing mask and dome are supposed to go on the bust.

Well the reason we're supporting a neck piece on the display stand is to essentially make 2 busts out of one package. Rather than display the removed pieces of the helmet as components to the Anakin reveal bust, you could have an Anakin reveal bust and a Vader mask display both in your collection, getting the most out of the set.

Perhaps add the neck piece in such a way that you could take it off too an the stand could either just support the mask and dome or 3 pieces to form a second piece.

Odds are, this isn't going to happen, but I fully support the idea if it could.

Yep, exactly... just a bare bones 2nd neck piece with tusks.
