Wondered if anyone knew any device that could record and then play back audio from a 3 volt or 6/9 volt battery ? that was small enough to fit in a 1/6th body ??

any helps appreciated

Thx prog Im after something similar without the similar price tag

i know what you mean, but how much are recording machines? then consider $20 for a body...not sure you're really talking that much more. (taxes and shipping excluded).

The nice thing about the ATOM is you wouldn't have to take the figure apart if you wanted to change the sounds. also for $10 more you can get a remote.

here's something i found on google, https://www.pimall.com/nais/zippy.html

TBH it isnt going in a figure . . . Its going into a dio / enviroment Im working on . . . Ive got some red Led's in the circuit and using a metronome from Maplins Electronics Ive got them flashing on and off.

Just thought it would be nice to have an alarm noise sounding also

ooooooooooh. in that case you should probably not be looking at a recorder device at all. you can probably very cheaply make an electronic kit that mimics an alarm. I made something in highschool electronics class 15 years ago that was simply a battery, some resistors and a speaker that alarmed when a switch was opened.

something like this hooked up to a small speaker and battery.

Opting for https://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=265464 so I can put in some sound effects

Gonna try this (not sure what this will sound like on tiny speakers though) :
