I have never sold on ebay before. Looks as if my Pota and other stuff
will end up there because no one is interested here.
How does this sound for information for buyers

I only take paypal
Will only ship to Canada and US
Will not sell to anyone with negative feedback
Funds must be received 3 days after auction
I will ship within 3 days of receiving payment
Do not ask me to ship outside of Canada and US

I want to cover all of my bases
Any other suggestions.

Thanks

Sounds pretty good but sometimes people get negative feedback when they don't deserve it. Even great ebayers get a negative once in a while. So you might want to allow them a shoot at your items.

Also, you can request payment within 3 days but ebay gives buyers at least 7 days to pay. So your rule will not be effective if you have a problem.

Also is it better for the buyers if I use my own pictures of the items?
Do they like it better?

i personally use stock photos unless the item has a flaw or has been opened. also, i state all sales are final.

That is a tricky question in my opinion. Some buyers may prefer real photos because it shows that you do actually have the items. However, your photos may not come out as great as the stock photos so that may turn some people away. Maybe a good compromise is post stock photos of the figures and use your own pictures of the boxes.

Always use a real photo of the item... I won't bid on things that either don't have a pic or use stock ones. I want to see exactly what I am getting.

What sellers mean when they say they won't sell to buyers with negative feedback is overall score. -2 or -1. It doesn't mean someone with 100 positive feedbacks and 1 or 2 negatives. Your own photos are ALWAYS better than stock.

Since you technically can't file a "non-paying bidder" report with Ebay until 7 days after the auction's end, I don't know if you can uphold that 3 day payment limit.

I had mine like that as well, but just changed it to 7 days since it didnt really make sense to have anything less than Ebays minimum in my terms/agreements.

For me it depends on how rare the item is. The more rare it is unless I still have it in the box the more likely I am to post an actual picture. If I have it and its still in the box alot of the time I will post a stock photo and picture of the box.

As El Roranous said about the Negative feedback I would reconsider you are probably knocking about 75% of the ebay user off your list of buyers with that one. Unless you mean buyers with 0 or less feedback.

Also even if you do state do not ask me to ship outside the US and Canada they will ask. You should at least consider including Japan, Great Britain, Holland etc. Especially right now with the euro being worth more than the US or Canadian Dollar odds are it will open you up to more bidders which means more $$$.

Alot addresses in the UK now are even Confirmed with paypal so its no different than shipping to the States.

you may want to think about Alaska and Hawaii and include something about it may cost more to ship there...or not ship there at all.

personally it is too much of a hassle to ship to Europe and too much of risk of something happening(especially with PF's) and the buyer blaming you for something that is out of your control but i only sell things every once in a while....i.e. when marvel statues come out.

Trust me, Photos are JUST as important as a properly written description of what you are selling.

You will find that people will pay more for something if you advertise it well. Seeing an awesome pic of something just makes the appeal so much greater in a customer's eye.

Just think how many times we have been on the forum and seen someone's awesome pics of something we dont have yet. then that day we go out and start searching for one for ourselves? exactly.

hi bob,

i've pm'd you a couple of times with a question and didn't get a reply. do you check them?

many people prefer a factory sealed box. i know i do. i don't see a problem with a stock photo if the description says 'new in factory sealed box'. does anyone think that would turn a buyer off?

In that case I would put a "real" picture of the sealed box as well as the stock pic of the figure as if it was opened.

Personally I won't bid on an item from a new seller that doesn't post an actual picture of the product. If the seller is well established and has a good track record then a stock photo doesn't bother me.
