He probably has sketches for a ton of characters. Like how there's a concept sketch for Huffer, despite him never having been materialized.

I'd go further than that. I think he's probably got complete 3D models for several other characters on his computer.

Fans Toys show some chromed diecast parts for Slag,

Kapow Toys as have confirmed on Facebook they're getting the Amazon Exclusive accessory for MP Wheeljack....but only a limited amount so it's best to get your pre-order in ASAP.

I saw them Tweet that the other day as well.
Luckily I got my order in as soon as the original announcement went up & they opened the books...long before it was confirmed or we'd seen the Prototpyes.
Fingers crossed I should be ok for the Lunch Box :)

I pre-ordered my first one last week so I may not be so lucky but I'll just pick one up seperately on ebay if I don't get one with my Kapow order.

In hand pics of Cubex Huffer have been emerging from Asia so hopefully Kapow's stock will be en route before long.

Bugger man, hope you get one
That said I don't think it's a big issue, If I want him to look like he's going to work down the Energon Mines I'll need to get a copy of the Sun knocked up so that he can carry it under his other arm as well ;) lol

Still not sure on that Huffer, he looks ok but the size of the cab over his head looks a bit much to me, will wait until I see your in hand pics before I decide what to do on him.

Here's Huffer with some Masterpieces,

I get what you're saying about the cab, it does look slightly too big over the back of his head but it's part of how G1 Huffer looks so there's no real way round it.

The good news is that it doesn't appear to affect how the toy balances as I've seen some other pics with the figure stood on one leg doing a high kick and a few other more action poses and it seems very stable.

Theres going to be another Huffer coming out by a third party as well, right?

Wouldn't mind seeing a comparison shot before getting one, but I'd definitely like to add him into the troops this year.

Looking at him there he doesn't look as bad tbh
I think in the gif you had the other day he looked a lot worse.
Nice to see the scale is fine for him though...getting more tempted by him.

Yeah there is another one but can't remember for the life of me who's doing it lol
Think he's being called old timer or something.

Guys has anyone had any experience with an Ebay seller called Toysking2012??

They have Quakewave's in hand for £110 shipped to the UK & as I have some spare paypal pennies I'm tempted to finally get one.

Thanks

Neil

Cubex Huff is part of what they're calling their Old Timer Series which is presumably a reference to G1.

X-Transbots have made Krank,

Huff looks like it could have been designed by Takara.

The robot mode looks like it stepped right out of the cartoon and the vehicle mode has had enough details added to bring the G1 design into the modern age.

Krank is a nice figure but the aesthetic of the robot mode isn't close to being as cartoon accurate as the Cubex effort and the truck mode, whilst more realistic is too far removed from the original for my liking.

I'd also have concerns about the chromed arms as it seems like a QC nightmare waiting to happen.

No contest for me....Cubex Huff wins.

I get ya. I'd keep my MP's though. And quakewave is seriously a must have.

Sorry to hear you want yo sell it.

I am actually keeping the few MPs I have, and have decided to keep QW for now. I'm not ready to part with him yet, and will also keep a few choice figures from G1, so I'm not selling everything. I do have a lot of figures though that I haven't seen in years that no longer hold any meaning to me. So why not pass them on to someone who does?

Once I get my FS thread going, I'll post it here in case anyone is interested.

Glad to hear you've seen sense ;) lol

I keep meaning to get round to selling my Beast Wars collection, but I never seem to have time to get them all out of storage photograph them & get them listed.
Shame to have them locked away doing nothing really.

Thanks for posting that pic. I feel the total opposite though. the Cubex hooded area doesn't look like it stepped out of anything to me. the G1 toy had a tight hood and so did the cartoon, that Cubex Huffer could fit another head on top of its cowl area before filling it up. Looks very weird to me since all I have to go by is G1 stuff.

Yeah, wish they would lower this, that gap above his head is huge compared to anything I've ever seen...

Aside from his super high hood everyhting else looks so great. Maybe in hand pics it'll set a bit lower.

Finally I should get my Smokescreen :yess:

I also have lately bought mainly MP stuff and lost interest towards others. Though the main reason for this might be, that either Hasbro nor takara has released anything that interesting other than MPs lately. Metroplex was mildly interesting and I though I could get that one, but naw...Since I'm more into G1 related stuff, some 3rd party stuff seems quite interesting. Maybe if Takara would release encore dinobots...
