Got a MP Soundwave finally. Never had the G1 or any of the reissues, got the Takara version, so only 1 cassette. Sort of let down by it, dunno if it's because he's the only MP Decepticon I have out, or just it's Soundwave.

Maybe I might use him for trade fodder.

Thanks for posting that pic. I feel the total opposite though. the Cubex hooded area doesn't look like it stepped out of anything to me. the G1 toy had a tight hood and so did the cartoon, that Cubex Huffer could fit another head on top of its cowl area before filling it up. Looks very weird to me since all I have to go by is G1 stuff.

Yeah, wish they would lower this, that gap above his head is huge compared to anything I've ever seen...

I prefer the tight hood how he looke din the cartoon...

Aside from his super high hood everyhting else looks so great. Maybe in hand pics it'll set a bit lower.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks the hood is too big.
I admit everything else does look spot on & the scale looks great but the great big hood that could house a family of circus midgets as well as his head is just bugging the hell out of me.

I'll wait or full on pics before I do anything with him but I'm definitely feeling that I'll be buying other figures long before I get him.

I'm with Corsair on Huff. Looks way more G1 accurate to me, too. And just... I don't know, a more elegant design, I guess?

That sounds like you just made it up "hmmmm what shall I call my secret supplier...I know Chimungmung.com nobody will ever know" ;) lol

Just googling them now for a peek...got some spare pennies that I might finally use for Quakewave myself.

Neil

Lol, yeah, I'd be interested in where they got that name! Did you pull the trigger?

Hopefully once people start receiving him, the hood will be able to be lowered some, cause other than that, I'm digging it.

Lol sometimes the names are just too weird ;)
I haven't yet :(
I've actually found a cheaper Ebay seller called Toysking2012 that I'm considering using but I'm just waiting for a little bit more paypal funds.
Although that said I'm also doing something I probably shouldn't & looking at getting into Star Wars 1/6th figures so might use the money for them instead....this hobby is getting out of hand lol

Yeah I'll let TheCorsair take one for the team first & see what his one looks like & maybe get one after that ;) lol

Don't do it!!! It's been my experience that you'll ALWAYS get burned out collecting Star Wars after a while!

That said, I have been buying the new Black figures (but only the main cast), and I love the vintage Kenner figures, but at least there's an end in sight with those...

So- I preordered wheeljack on Robotkingdom because the medi-kit lunchbox was included... They took the money but then I realized that this thing is not shipping until later... Way past Paypal's time period for any problems. Robot kingdom is good right?

Lol well if I did do it I'd be just getting the characters that I really want & mostly just Sith & then mostly from the Extended Universe (Malgus, Ventress, Maul, Thrawn, Grievous for example) so will hopefully keep it low.
I've also been looking at Sideshow Destro & Baroness 1/6th lately as well...seems like there are a lot of good 1/th coming up lately that are catching my eye.

As far as I know RK are one of the best so you'll be fine never had an experience with them personally but loads on here have used them & recommend them highly.

do we know if HLJ will have the lunchbox or not?

I think it might be luck of the draw as to who gets them.
I should be getting one with mine from Kapow Toys.

Update on my Quakewave dilemma - Just had a look back & Toysking2012 on Ebay & on Tuesday they had him listed for £110.00 delivered he has subsequently shot up to a frankly ridiculous - £603.00 delivered :thud::thud:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transfor...1798?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item417608ca46

I have no idea how or why that has happened or even where they have plucked that figure from!
It's just bonkers

I know I saw that as well last night.

People can ask as much as they want for any item they sell. It's the crazy people that actually pay it that astounds me.

Yep I know they can but surely if you want to sell the stuff you look at what other people are charging & come in around them not see a few people at about £140 & then go "I know I'll charge £600+ for exactly the same item & see what sells"

What really bugs me about this is other sellers may see that & think they'll do the same thus artificially inflating the price & ruining the hobby because they all think it's some mega money making item which it isn't

The same thing has happened to the Retro Game Market lately & some games are so massively overpriced because of one or 2 sellers it effectively killed the hobby for me & if this goes the same way then we're all buggered

Neil

Oh I agree completely. I always look at what the average an item sold for on ebay to get a decent and fair price. The funny thing is that when doing so, you see so many non-sold items that were listed for something crazy, like 200 over the norm.

In any event, reports are saying that MP Prowl will be a TRU exclusive in the States and could possibly retail for $59.99. An employee claims to have seen it listed in the system. Rumors for now, but more than likely true.

Yeah I very rarely go by what people ask & always by what's completed.
If I'm selling something myself I always list it at a few £ under the cheapest Buy It Now & normally get away with it :)

Interesting about Prowl.
Maybe the Nissan License was easy to acquire for the US market.
