I know a vinyl thread has been attempted before hence this thread i found on the search:

But....this is my attempt for a thread!

My main focus right now as far as collectibles are VINYLS!!

I've seen great ones online and in the stores and I can say that 40% of my collection is all about vinyl and PVC...including various Star Wars VCD's ...

So yeah...lets get this thing rolling!

I honestly thought Designer Toys/Vinyl Toys was going to be the next step in collecting... but it quickly became snobbish and a quite bit lame IMO...
Flooded with cheap designs and now everybody is making "designer" toys...

With that said, I do have

-From Muttpop, Lucha Libre Tequila and Panda

- From Flapjack Toys, Symptoms Hot Flashes (devil) and Stiffness of Joints (zombie)

- From Kidrobot, the Dunny Azteca series, about 7 of them.

- Applehead Factory's Tofu, the vegan zombie

and a few smaller ones that are a bit generic... I can't even remember their names! !

Agreed. I came from the vinyl toy world and the market is flooded w/ crap and everyone thinks they can make designer toys. Now I'm addicted to Hot Toys!

I started with Kubricks Bearbricks and then migrated to Kaws,Dunny and then into vintage Godzilla, Ultraman when all "Designer Toys" basically started sucked from then on.
Now I'm addicted to SSC Marvel and running out of space very fast. GF will lynch me very soon.

I collect the SW VCDs and would like to collect other Medicom VCDs, but that's about it. The low edition sizes and enormous amount of artist who create vinyl pieces is frustrating. Someone did a Kung Fu Panda that was very cool and I can't find the site for the life of me anymore. I'm also hoping to grab the Tiki Stitch, but not holding my breath since that is sold out as well.

What about that one piece u got of the chick with the green shirt, based on that print you got. Isn't that vinyl, or is it resin?

I'm loving these Ak AT Driver! Altho...i don't think that they're worth $65 bucks. I think what Kuzeh saids is true...about how the Vinyl World is somewhat snobbish....but I think it's due to the limited about of pieces they produce and becuz most of them are designers.

Yeah, I guess she's considered vinyl, but I don't categorize her as such. To me that's all that Dunny and Munny crap, an artist scribbles on it sells it for $100 and a day later it sells for $800 on eBay. I just don't get it, some of the designs are not even that good.

Well...I guess...cuz it's more art than just a figure.
I mean...3A are vinyl pieces, those are art. It's not just about Dunnies and Munnies and stupid ____ like that.

What's fun is that the little guy in his hand is the logo for Winson Ma, so its a cool representation of the artist.

I thought I would migrate from 6" toys to vinyl figures, guess I was wrong, the only vinyl figure I ever wanted was the Tequila luchador type of figure, but the price made me stay away. I thank the heavens for this forum.

Tequila is an amazing Vinyl figure it that's the only one you have!!

BTW people, do you know what's the best thing to use to clean Vinyl figures? A couple of mine are already getting that dreadful sticky texture and I don't want to ruing them.

Yeah I think when it comes to vinyls its all relative. Its relative in the sense that vinyl artists/designers probably dont see how a mass produced Predator toy (just an example) sells for $300. Its one of those things where you dont have to understand it just go with it and appreciate it and to each his/her own.

Im not a vinyl collector but I'll admit there are some awesome pieces out there.
