I missed it. My friend was logged on at the same time, clicked it went to the question portion and I kid you not by the time he simply answered the question, it was "What is 17+8?" it was gone, they swiped it from his cart because others answered their question faster....I didn't really think I'd get one but I was hoping. I feel more for my bud though he had one and it escaped his grasp.

Same here, Tom.

Refreshed right at 11, but the page didn't load until 11:01 and all sold-out. :monkey2

We killed Amazon!

Why did I think they had better servers than this? I still can't get the home page to load. They should have known better.

Yeah, I wasn't able to load until just now and it was all gone. Probably all sold to losers who will sell them again. Oh well. Makes me mad though that Amazon couldn't handle the strain, I guess they were trying to save money by using cheap servers. Although I don't think they can keep that up if they want to continue doing this, it will make way too many people mad with the performance. I'd rather feel that it was my fault that I wasn't able to get there in time rather than that they're server wasn't able to handle the load and didn't load up in time. Because believe me, I've got the speed.

Between this, having the Wii sell out on me in less than a minute, and having them cancel my PS3 order, I have managed to miss out on all three of the big game consoles from Amazon in less than a week.

Took 16 mins for the freaking page to load only to tell me SOLD OUT. 'Tis the season, I guess. I knew I was casting a wide net on this one, but....DAMN, BABY....

From Amazon's Wii product page:

We sold out of our initial supply of the Wii on Sunday morning, November 19, in less than one minute. We expect to receive periodic shipments of the Wii from Nintendo throughout the holidays and we will post availability updates in this section of the product detail page as well as in the customer discussions below.

I was amazed that I happened to be online at the right time, but didn't get lucky. I want a PS3 more than a Wii, but I am interested in trying out the controls. No luck.

And as for today, even the runner up sales were sold out by the time I got there, like the Barbie Princess for my daughter and the bike for my wife. I won't bother trying next time.

Yeah, the portable DVD player looks cool for $25 but it may not even be worth trying for it.

This should make all you guys still looking for a Wii of PS3 feel a little better, this is straight from Gamespot.com...

One of the biggest hitches with Microsoft's Xbox 360 launch last year was a dearth of follow-up shipments that left the console maker unable to make its next-gen system readily available to consumers until months after launch.

Sony and Nintendo might manage to avoid that problem, as GameStop today indicated that last weekend's launches of the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii sold out, but more units are on the way. In an investor conference call tied to the retailer's third-quarter earnings report, GameStop executives confirmed that they have already been resupplied with both systems, and they expect to get more of each on a weekly basis.

How'd you guys hear about this?

I had no idea until I read this thread; I have no intention of getting a 360, but if I could of gotten it for $100 just to play Gears of War and Dead rising it would have been worth it.

I'll be holding out for more shipments of PS3 though, I too have my heart set on it.
