would you stay in a job because it paid you 1000 dollars more than you were making at the moment or would you leave because your happiness is more important..if i leave i get to go back to the department i was in before..i just want others perspectives on this. is it crazy to choose you happiness over money..i know it's selfish to be asking this when so many people are losing jobs and i was offered it. but i am willing to give it up so someone else can do better than me.

1000 more a month or year?

and is it possible to have both? will your old department increase its offer?

if you're talking $1000 for the year, thats only what $80 a month? You can save that easy by cutting out some things. I'd take the other job.

If you're talking $1000 a month, I'd stay. I can put up with a lot of sht for in excess of a monthly car payment. :lol

It's not crazy to choose happiness over money, especially if you can still remain financially stable afterwards.

But depending on what the $1,000 more is... a year, month, week? It gets incrementally more crazy the more often you'd get that extra money.

Money = happiness. Stay in the higher paying job and buy yourself a few extra Sideshow figures.

I choose Money, but then again I tend to adapt to new environment really fast.

$1000 more/month. Take the money
$1000 more/year. Take the happiness

The real question is how much or a raise is $1000. If its a very small % then I would take happiness, but if the % is high then I would probably take the money.
