Hey guys, I usually don't put myself out like this, but this is a huge deal to me.

For my third year in a row, I am participating in the Step Out to Fight Diabetes walk this Saturday, October 27th in Washington, D.C. As some of you may or may not know, this is a special event for me as my Mother in Law has diabetes severely, even to the point of falling into a diabetic coma.

My wife, myself and a few friends have a team page and I was wondering if anybody would like to sponser me. All the donations go directly to fighting diabetes. Here is the link to my personal page for the walk, and if you wish to donate, click on the "Click Here to Sponsor Me" graphic to pay via credit card/bank card. I will also take cash if anybody prefers. If you would like to join me on the walk, you can also sign up for that on the same page by clicking the "Click Here to Walk With Me" graphic. Here is the link:

Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for any donations and/or thoughts guys. I really appreciate it.

If anybody wants to know more, feel free to ask questions.

Officially sponsored by The Godfather now go and walk your ass off.

Several members of my Family have Diabetes Mother in law, 7 year old Nephew, and wifes Aunt along with a few of my friends.

Having Diabetes sucks some serious ass. Testing your sugar all the time. Having to pretty much avoid anything with sugar as well as white bread and carbs which turn to sugar in your body. I am actually fairly lucky right now that mine is fairly under control with pills and I can still have a sweet from time to time, but I used to SWILL Coke until I found out I was diabetic. I have switched to Coke Zero which is a close 2nd.

I will certainly walk my ass of, I promise you that. Thanks a lot man. It's very common in my family as well. Prayers to your family and friends.

Yeah my mom in law has to test every 2 hours or so, I think even every hour sometimes. It's really bad. She has a pump though, so that helps.

Dude I love Coke Zero, that stuff is exactly like Coke. :D

This is a great cause and If I were in Washingotn DC and not on the other side of the Atlantic, Id participate.

My younger brother was diagnosed with diabetes when he was just 10 years old. He has just turned 20 this month and the way he has coped over the years is truely remarkable and a testiment to his character. I find that poeple sometimes dont realize how serious the condition it is, because it can be "managed". However, it is a chronic condition that can cause all manner of terrible health complications and death. This is a great cause to campaign for and I wish you the best of luck.

Sorry to hear about your brother man. Thanks a lot, we do this every year and it's really important to me. I'll think about all this when i'm walking!
