I think it looks really good. There are some really creepy and surreal shots just in the trailer. I'll be catching this. Plays in the U.S. (limited) a week before Halloween.

Good or bad, Von Trier is has done some very interesting work. I love The Kingdom, and The Element of Crime is so underrated. But I thought Dogville was meh, and the ending to Dance in the Dark was a huge downer.

The trailer for Antichrist makes me want to check it out.

I loved the movie he did that introduced Emily Watson, but I absolutely despise the entire concept of "dogma" and haven't seen any of his films since he started this "school". But if it's a cool horror movie, I might give him another chance. But the trailer won't play for me.

THE KINGDOM is absolutely one of the greatest TV series I have ever seen. I agree with you Dave that the "dogma" films have never really done anything for me but Von Trier's Europa, The Element of Crime and Breaking the Waves are on my DVD shelf along with The Kingdom. It's sad that the final season of The Kingdom never came to fruition but I respect that Von Trier did not want to do it since one of the actor's who played one of the main characters died.

This film was released here a while ago. Saw it having liked both the film Dave mentioned (the name escapes me..) and Dogville with Nicole Kidman. Antichrist? Anticlimax for me I'm afraid.

Some of the imagery and shot selection are fantastic - particularly liked the opening - but the film itself left me cold. One you have to judge for yourself, but a firm 'meh' from me.

I didnt really like it tbh. I suppose it could be a love or hate film for most. Whilst the film was shot nicely i didnt really like the story and felt it didnt really go anywhere. My brain felt numb watching it and the shock scenes felt a bit over done.

Breaking the Waves - great film. I tried to watch Dogville, but couldn't get through the first half hour.
