With outstanding Gordon, Alfred and Lucius Fox sculpts already available or on the way, would anyone be interested in a group commission for a Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes sculpt?

Rachel would of course complete the main cast of The Dark Knight. Not surprisingly as a female fan I am particularly interested in including her.

I think Ada's work is amazing all around, but her female likenesses are the best I have ever seen.

Please PM me and I will wait a week or two and see how many people we have and what it would cost per person.

Im not that interested but Id suggest not sticking to just Chan Ada, theres loadsa sculptors on here,

and some not on here:

choosing the right one could be the difference between being

Less Jessica Alba more Gylenhall

Less George W more Richard Dean Anderson

for e.g the below pics, and lets not get me started on the whole lets turn these sculpts 45 degrees argument (its a 3D medium ffs)

Who did the Richard Dean Anderson on the right? It looks awesome.

I'd actually prefer a Katie Holmes as Rachel from Batman Begins. I'm not sure about Ada doing it though.

I agree to seek out the best sculptor as there is always more than one option. Chris Howes seems backlogged into the next decade though so it might either be best to find someone else or be prepared to wait.

I also would be more on board with Holmes over her TDK clone. Not that either have more acting ability than the figures we would be making.

I always wonder why there is no love for her... She was great in TDK.

Ada might be a good sculptor but she often tneds to capture the likness from the front only. Further her casts are horrible quality... Heres an example... One sculpt two totally diffrent casts:

The main reason for choosing Ada is that most of the sculptors I have seen or purchased from here, even if I deeply admire their work, do not have any examples of women to their credit. Ada has strong SMG as Buffy, Linda Blair as Wonder Woman, Judy Dench as M and a few others female sculpts which impress me. Also as a general rule, artists tend to more realistically represent their own sex, which again is in Ada's favour.

I also have to admit I prefer Maggie Gyllenhall as an actress and have always disliked Katie Holmes since her Dawson's Creek days.

Actually C.Howes did a Summer Glau (from Terminator, I think) and I have done several female sculpts. These are Kate Beckinsale (Underworld), Kelly Hu (X2), and Sean Young (Blade Runner) and I have done quite a few others.

I say you can't go wrong with Spenser! I have no doubt he would knock this one out of the park for you guys. And you won't have to wait a year for it as well :D

Spencer, how do we get the Sean Young?
And I'm a huge Wonder woman fan, but don't recall Linda Blair ever playing that part.

Try Plastic Earth. They are on hiatus from doing sculpts for Robot Chicken and their lead sculptor is female if that's what you are looking for. Here is a Linda Carter Wonder Woman they did for Toyfare. The same sculptor also did Amoktime's Athena from Battlestar Galactica as well as some of the female prototypes for Executive Replicas.

Wow, Spenser. I stand corrected. I honestly had not seen any of these sculpts discussed or for sale in my short time on these boards.

I have never seen Underworld, but I would have recognized your Kelly Hu and Sean Young without any trouble.

I tried accessing Plastic Earth the last few days and kept hitting a dead site. Have they changed ther site address?

I got on it with no problem. www.plastic-earth.com Lots of great female likenesses in the Robot Chicken galleries. Keep in mind while viewing those that the artist can only spend about 4 to 6 hours on each sculpt because of the production schedule. I have tried to encourage the sculptor to post more of the RC sculpts on their website, but they feel most of them aren't refined enough and people would get the wrong impression of what their skill level was. I got to look through a box of castings at their studio and it was insane.
