I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this, but I couldn't find one by searching.

Like the title says, does anyone know if there are any plans for TOD or TLC Jones figures?

I just got the DX05 and really love it and would love some others to go with him.

Thanks...

There was some rumor about a ToD Indy but I very much doubt we will see anything until the next movie (if that is still happening).

I think total rumor.......more wishing than anything.
I think HT, like Hasbro, is DONE with this license.
Unfortunately.

Yeah, I really wish they would, just for HT to be able to redeem themselves by making a proper HF sculpt.

But I have to agree that it's looking less and less likely by the minute.

Too bad. I guess we can keep hoping. If they move forward with a new movie which I heard awhile back, maybe that would kick start it. However, the fact that the DX05 is still for sale on Sideshows site, can't be a good thing.

Was that a rumor or just people making things up on the board?

Maybe rumors in terms of HT TOD, but not SSC TOD.

From Sideshow at SDCC 2012 via Rebelscum (Question to Sideshow's Brant Bridges following Sideshow's presentation at the Star Wars Collecting Panel):

Q: 12" Indy figures at Sideshow?

A: Yes! Short Round, maybe some Temple of Doom figures.

Nothing close to concrete, but it was not "NO" or even "on hold for now."

Next year is the 30th Anniversary of Temple of Doom and honestly, what would Hot Toys have to do that is new for a TOD Indy release... a head, a machete, a torn shirt, maybe a tux? :dunno

TOD Indy is the only other "iconic" look for Indy beyond what they have done.

The last release coinciding with the 30th of Raiders was a DX figure from HT, and an environment from SSC that went with it. The mine cart is presumably the environment intended to go with a HT TOD Indy, with a Short Round fig included to sweeten the deal.

But yeah, development of the Mine Cart has been anything but linear and rapid...

Aug 2010 - SSC states Mine Cart "in the works",
Oct 2010 - Shorty figure has "started development"
Sept 2011 - Shorty figure has "hit a snag" due to smaller body problem.
July 2012 - SSC states emphatic "yes" when asked about Indy figures at SSC, citing Shorty and other possible TOD figs

I think it's pretty clear that the figure was not universally well received (for a HT release) and HT must know that, so not sure that "still in-stock" issue in itself sinks a potential TOD release.

A TOD Indy would be fantastic. And with a proper head sculpt it would definitely be a fast mover for Sideshow. But I guess I'm just dreaming.

I had NO idea SS still has it....geeeeeeeezzzzzz

Near ZERO chance any more from HT...they want big sell out franchises...Iron Man and Batman..

I had totally forgotten about that!

I wish someone would straight out ask HT in one of those interviews we see posted from time to time. That would put an end to the questions .

Although I'm in the camp that thinks it's unlikely we'll see any new Indy figures from HT. It really is a pity about the DX05. HT does Indy. We thought all our prayers had been answered. :lol

Well, in the wake of SSC's pretty recent confirming/not denying that they still plan to do a Shorty figure, the question I would ask is: how can you sell a Shorty figure (plus Mine Cart Environment) without a new TOD Indy out there?

I really want a new Indy figure too. He is one of my favorite movie characters. The DX05 has some of Ford's features in there but it's not as good as some of the other likenesses that they have done. My personel favorite is the Keaton Batman and the Luke Skywalker for likeness that I have in my collection. I really like my Indy and with Mfisher's whip and holster set coming it will make him better but he is still a little off.

People were simply wishing for HT Temple because it would be almost no effort on Hot Toys part.

The sculpt was 60-70% of the way there (lets not bother arguing, people...) and could be improved and made better by no DX and then refined.

And pretty much all the clothes and accessories are the same. Just give us cut up battle damaged versions from the end, a machete and sankara stone and ship it out as a bare bones release.

Easy money.
Like the upcoming battle damaged T2, but 1/6 (get it :)) the effort.

But no apparently....

Yeah, it be like HT doing Robin and the Batmobile but no Batman.

But who will do it? HT or SS? Either way I desperately hope we get an Indy sculpt we've been waiting for.

I hope this happens. TOD is my favorite Indy film and would love to see a Shorty, Willie, Mola Ram and temple guard.

If they're doing Shorty, they'll definitely do a TOD indy.

The reason they're probably not announcing anything is because there are still plenty of DX05 figures available at this point. Also, you have to assume they've heard all the criticism of the DX05 head sculpt and want to silence all the haters.

They just need to do this figure proper justice. Give Enterbay the license and do a 1/4 scale HD Masterpiece series figure from RoLA. Then finally we would have an epic Indy. :nana::wave
