That will cost you.
I am first and foremost a dark ale and stout drinker, but I have to admit I am becoming somewhat of a wine fanatic. I am by no means a wine connoisseur, but I come from a family that has quite a collection of wine bottles. They go to the wine parties. Wine taste testing dealies, and make their own wine. It's because of them I am getting hooked. What are some good wines that you like? I usually like to play it safe, so I go with a red merlot since it's the saftest of all the wines out there. I tend to stay within the 10-15 dollar bracket. I am not like my parents or my brother especially who will try out wines in the three digits.

I mean what is the significant difference from a cheap and expensive wine? I know my parents have said it has to do with the appellations, if the year was a vintage year.. like if the grapes were mixed, how good that year was, and yada yada yada.

I just want to know what's a solid wine to get around 20 and under. I am like them, they appreciate my collectibles but they would never spend that kind of coin. Neither will I concerning wine, but I definitely do appreciate a nice glass every now and then.

I read somewhere that one of the cheapest wines scored pretty high on some wine ratings list since the people doing the tasting have no idea what brand it is they are reviewing. So price isn't exactly an indicator of quality from what I have heard. I don't drink wine so I have no idea for sure.

STFU Chase!

Nothing gay about wine. Especially how my parents make it. They say the more legs a wine has the more alcohol content the wine will have.. in that case my parent's stuff is pretty dang high. Almost around 20 percent. hehe

Yes yes, it's no 180 proof. Oh man, that ^^^^ is hard to keep down. Bodie, don't edit that! :emperor

Chase wasn't saying wine was gay. He was just saying that the drinker of wine in this case was gay.:lol:lol:lol

Hello! :wave

Be honest Chase, you have had wine in the past and enjoyed it. Can't always be hard liquor and beer. Speaking of which, I feel the need to pick up a new case of Guinness or maybe Kilkenny as the weather has been getting warmer.

Trying to attract a manlier guy this evening?

I have had wine and it tasted like sh^t, and it was a $300 bottle.

I didn't drink wine up until 2 years ago. Got used to it every Sunday when I would visit the mom and dad for dinner. I can't stand most white wines. I find them to sweet. I like the more dryer stuff, and I have heard the same concerning prices. It's not always the more expensive wines that are better. You can get some quality stuff around 20 and under. That's why I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of quality wines are out there.

why pay $300 for a bottle of wine when a $2.99 bottle of Boones Farm will get you just as ^^^^ed up and you save $297.01 to put towards a couple hot toys figures. im just saying.
