I have been looking around for a while to get a alien piece and i really like the look of the alien queen and was just searching around for a bust or statue of her and i came across the Naward productions 1/4 alien queen maquette kit modeled after the SWS one. I know i can't afford the SWS one but this kit is about 1000 shipped unpainted and just wondered if anyone has ever seen one or what their opinion on it are since i have never heard of Naward productions i was just curious. And i figure if i buy it for 1k and put another 600 into painting it i may have 1 awesome 4 ft alien queen.

from what i saw on ebay, the one from profile in history sold at $30,000, then theres another one sold $15000 @ 2009, and then $7000, $6000. Now these are the early casting, which has more details, more smooth cast.

about this later ones-Naward, the castings are not as good as original or early casts.

i have one in my collection, and i love it.

Man that is awesome yeah i wish i could afford 10-30k lol but that really isn't an option right now. I figured the ones from SWS would be that expensive that's why this one from naward had me so intrigued as i could actually afford it. I figured since it was a recast the detail might lack a little but i guess i could live with it but i dont know i still cant pull the trigger on the kit. I just figured i could spend like 1.2k on a sideshow 1/4 alien queen bust or just go all out and get a full 1/4 alien queen.

I have a kit from a guy with an original mold who supposedly worked on the movie, and the casting is pretty good. Cost me $1600 shipped. I really need to find time to paint it though. It's huge.

What's the story on this Naward Model Magic? Is there a website link somebody can post?

Naward and Model Magic are two separate things. Model Magic is just a site like the forum here for talking about and advertising new model kits and build ups by artists. Naward Conceptions actually makes the 1/4 Queen. Here's the link to the Model Magic site which has all the specifics on this kit--https://www.modelermagic.com/?p=41524

A few years back I purchased a 1/6 scale Queen from Sky W. out of Hong Kong. Never got around to building it but its a damn good kit. This Queen by Naward looks to be about the same quality only based on the SWS one. I've wanted that 1/4 SWS Queen for a long, long time. Oh, yes. It will be mine.

The pose is the best i have seen , roostercat's was beautiful but the pose had no action to it

I've never totally liked the limited poseability of the 1/4 Queen, primarily because of her head position, but also because of her feet. If you make her step at all, she has to have the toes of one foot pointed at the floor. When I get around to painting mine, I'm going to cut and repose the knee and "ankle" of one leg to get a more solid, but still staggered stance.

I think I may have seen a 1/6 version, but don't remember how good it was. Any pics you can share? Perhaps I might paint it for you. That way I can paint up my 1/4 at the same time.

Thanks for the link BTW, I may get the base.

Also is there anywhere to buy a 1/6 queen kit that anyone knows of or is selling? As much as I want this 4ft tall alien queen I'm really going to have trouble finding room.

And do a search too. I believe there was a whole thread dedicated to it with a lot more pics.

Oh yeah. I remember that 1/6 queen. I even commented in that thread. That was just an upscale of the Halcyon 1/12 Queen. Same exact thing though. Not nearly as good looking as the 1/4 Queens.

Just talked with the maker of this kit and got one on order. Cannot wait. Easily a grail to own.

Just paid in full for one of these 1/4 Alien Queens built and painted up. Should have it hopefully at the end of the month and I will definitely post pictures.

Is this where you ordered your queen jrice? The website is under construction.

I may take you up on painting this kit for me SilentSurfer. I like the idea of modding the leg.

I would love this but space is a issue!
I am on the look out for the Sky W Aliens queen however as its a better size for me. However seeing the hard time I had finding a 1/12 kit I doubt I will find it as I still not got a 1/12 as most out there are recasts and I do not want that.
