anyone try these bases for hot toys?

I am looking for feedback on these with hot toys figures. I want to buy a few after I can figure out if they work well with figures.

Just looks like a regular stand with a waist clamp, what problems could you have with it? It would likely keep your figure more secure from a shelf dive although it may be an eye sore seeing a black clamp across a figures waist.

It often looks bizarre seeing a perfect minature representation having their boys cupped by a black basket.
