I know that the Priority Preorders have been stressful at times, but if you tried to order the Blackhole Trooper bust today from Gentle Giant--don't you really appreciate the way that Sideshow handles their orders? The e-mail I received from Gentle Giant had no order number/confirmation number at all, and there is no way to access/review my order on their site after the fact. I have no way to prove that I placed an order with them other than an e-mail with my name and address in it. I know that many people were receiving out of stock messages when it hadn't sold out yet, and others were being told that their billing address didn't match up with their credit card info. Others got one in their cart, but when they went to pay for it they were told that it wasn't in their cart anymore. There were a great deal of frustrations that we don't have to deal with when we order from Sideshow, and it made me realize that they are really doing a good job in the ordering/customer account areas, and they will only be getting better.

They only started the Priority Preorder system a few months ago, and they are already making changes based on our feedback and experiences. They are really listening to us, and that should make us happy customers. Just think of how nice it will be to go to Comic Con and pick up our prepaid exclusive items from Sideshow, while over at the Gentle Giant booth, we are forced to wait in a line to pick up raffle tickets that may or may not give us a chance to wait in a line again to purchase an exclusive. Let's be grateful for the level of service that we are getting from Sideshow!!

Just got the email about the MR studio scale Enterprise today - $1200 for the basic version (2 other signature versions for more money). I'm looking all over the email for any signs of "flex-pay" - but no such luck...:monkey4

I've thought that Sideshow was the best for a long time. From their products to their customer service to their increasingly streamlined way of ordering. And now the inclusive program. And todays Gentle Giant fiasco only reinforces my beliefs.

I've never been one to really freak-out if I'm not able to get something for my collection, but there is a certain amount of disappointment. I've been buying Sideshow products for years and not once have I had to experience any of that disappointment. You just get a higher level of customer satisfaction. I know some aren't crazy about the inclusive program, but for me if it allows me to own something I really want with little or no hassle. There's no way Sideshow would have allowed what Gentle Giant did today. I'm very thankful for that.

I am thankful most of all for the way SDCC goes down, a lot less stress when it comes to the ease of picking up Pre-Orders from SS. I am super pissed off as to what happened earlier today with GG. There was no reason for that. So yeah, I am thankful for a company to actually listen to it's consumers as to what they want and need when it comes to their own products and customer service. You are not left out in the cold ala GentleGiant.

Let's see tomandshell, on the one hand SS has turned into the best collectibles company out their. They make regular changes to enhance their site, and ease the ordering process, listen and interact with their collectors/fanbase to make changes to lines and use input in acquiring new licenses. Continue to bring us better and more highend collectables at reasonable prices and when those prices stretch the budget they provide easier ways to pay not to mention hosting all of the fan oriented activities like the upcoming SDCC coverage and definitely do not forget all of the giveaways :chew

Now on the other hand without SS, I would actually have quite a bit of money in my pocket.

Who am I kidding, Sideshow is Great :D :D

Sideshow Rock!

I think we need more pictures of Dusty though...She's a Geek dream...LOL!

The SDCC exclusive Non-Attendee orders were great and the new inclusive system is an amazing idea.

I've been collecting for many years now, and Sideshow is the only company that's ever given me the sense that they would bend over backwards to help their customers. They don't just treat us like faceless names on a computer screen. SSC is the best, period.

She's not Greek, she's from Texas.

Oh, wait...

I read that wrong...

And if she does any more Marvel movie reviews, I expect her to start getting some marriage proposals through that podcast hotline number...

I used to be a die-hard MR customer but ever since I got to know about Sideshow (Nov 05), I've diverted all of my $$ to buying SS products and I've not looked back since then!

Yeah I know I would be a lot richer if I stopped collecting but who am I kidding? :D

Sideshow is a great company. No arguments about that.

I think the Blackhole fiasco will have a similar effect on Gentle Giant like the open ended editions/bad QC/collector's edition had on Master Replicas: there may be a small exodus and they will loose sales. I think SW bust collector's are too passionate to completely let go regardless of how mad they are right now. GG does have a great product for a great price and is the next step up to collecting figures.

What MR and GG have going for them is their wide distribution through retailers and Previews. This is why many people do not even know about Sideshow outside of that circle unless they go to conventions.

I agree, as a GG bust collector this has left a bad taste in my mouth that I won't soon forget. Funny how Salacious Crumb was way easier to get but it was a higher edition size. Here's hoping I can get an Utapau Clone Trooper otherwise I will be super pissed. Hell I think I have a better chance of getting a Shock Trooper bust.

GG pre orders for their limited stuff like the Blackhole bust have always been that way:google 100x worse than a Sideshow SW exclusive preorder. I wont even bring up how their old site was 100 times worse!
And I won't bring up another company that is well know for their marvel releases I have emailed them a question about a order and the email back with a "how dare you attitude".:thwak

Sideshow is the best and continues to get better, the only problem I have really had was they sent a Exclusive Anakin 12in instead of my Ex Grevious PF and I have to wait for them to get the Anakin back before they will send the Grevious out.:tap

Sideshow stomps the competition IMO.... I mean, I've been a collector since I was 12 and have yet to see such a high level of customer attention. SSC really does everything they can to make it easy for us to purchase their product, not to mention the constant tweaks they make to an already "flawless" system.

I used to have to skip the ordering process for limited collectors items, if not to just save myself the eventual let down when I was unable to get what I wanted. But ever since I started collecting Sideshow product, I've yet to miss out on anything really. They always give us the heads up, they let us cancel if we wish, and they do everything they can to make sure we are happy.

For that, they are my favorite company of all time and I don't see them ever falling from that position. :D

sideshow is responsible for me getting back into collecting. after the let down i had years ago with MR i said forget it im done with this stuff. then after reading about the luke 1/4 scale statue i thought "wow that looks awesome, but thats expensive for a toy" then after reading more i saw that it was a statue. once i stumbled into the forums here it was all over. i've gotten every Star Wars and LOTR 12" on pre-order. and im also slowly creeping up the PF ladder with random purchases. :D
