Piece of garbage got off easy. I don't know how you have a high profile criminal like this and he's not under 24 hour surveillance. IIRC he was on suicide watch when he was first put in lock up.

He was in protective custody and they check every 30 min. That should be more than enough. They waste enough money on these POS feeding them housing them ect.. and you want even more man hours wasted just watching the POS.

For a case of this magnitude, I think making sure he'll be alive to be put in prison and possibly be murdered severely by other inmates a few more man hours is worth it.

He had already pled guilty, he was going to be in protective custody the rest of his life, he would have never been placed in gen pop.

I won't disagree about the $$ we are saving because of this, but IMO that piece of crap got off way too easy. If they gave me 30 minutes alone with him he'd be begging for the death penalty.
