I agree. I'd rather have a regular #'d version, and save the extra money, to go towards something else.

Lucky? You bet.

Nah, I thought you knew back in Oct/Nov I had to sell about half of my collection to get rid of some serious CC debt. I still have virtually all my really cool pieces but did have to let some ones go like Elrond, Theoden, Ugluk, and a couple others.

Yeah, I did luck out then too. It sucks I hated to sell them but I really need to get out from under some of the CC debt I had gotten myself into, but hopefully someday I can get some of those back.

Well, a lot of it was due to the statues I had bought over time so it was only like the big circle of life that some statues had to perish to help me. LOL

Well... at least you get to own it once.....some of the people I met whom claimed to be "collectors" should be more accurately defined as "investors"... they sell to make a profit... many collectors are seldom seen here, as I believe, they just purchase and keep it! . How many Medallion #11 do you see around anyway??

Yeah, I would very much consider myself a collector but in order to keep collecting with the ******* debt I had gotten myself into I had to sell some. Your right though I got to one some of them at least once and I did get to keep my Balrog, CT, RWOS, Sauron, Fellowship, etc so it worked out in the end. Plus doing that has allowed me to get stuff from the LOTR and SW new lines from SS.

That was my plan. I'd like to get Elrond and Thoden back again because of their importance to the movie and book. Someday hopefully it will work out.

haha.... luckily you didn't consider EVERY single piece to be important... like myself...even for the gtb ... for me, I really hope I can afford one day... so far, the "offer" I had is the range of 13000-1600USD, who know what will become of them in 5 years time....afterall they are only 26 of them (with 4 APs) and none of them is likely to break...so the edition size is rather stable...

LOL Well, they are all important to me but I'd have been in the poor house with nothing if I didn't have to cut a few loose. So in order to save a few some had to leave. It's ok though I'm back on top of things and being able to add to my collection with SS new lines so it's all good.

Looks like gotta spend a whole hell lot of money to get it from the evilbay again....
