Looks like that I'm going to sell off my copy of Star Ace's Katiness (in black armor) when Arwen v.2 regular version arrives. This one is definitely fit for the collection display.

Guys she is breathtakingly beautiful! She may be the best female 1/6 figure even better than the Leias and Reys I have from HT. I took a 30 second video to show off the lighting and angles as well. The small table is exquisitely realized and captures the elvish decor. The sofa is much larger than I expected. I cannot wait for HD Legolas.

I'm sorry to hear that, man. Maybe instead of cancel it and losing NRD, you can use the money to buy an empty artbox from ebay?
Sad that this has to happen with DX Arwen, but this is the reality.

You’re welcome guys! I really think Arwen and Legolas and Gollum are going to be a triple threat for Asmus stepping up their game. They just need a couple small refinements with accessories (Gollum hands) and the deluxe art boxes.

Also, I couldn’t upload the video says it was too big even though it’s only a 30 second clip.

Where did you preorder from? You might be able to explain the situation and have them switch it from a DX to a standard without a penalty. Might be to late if you already did it but it could be worth a try.

I ordered directly from ASMUS site. They did not care at all. This is how it is and what some of us have been trying to explain here against the falacy of relativism - now I just need to accept it... Anyway, now I really know that I will never again order from them (as I have been doing since they are in the game).
They will not take my love from Middle Earth though...

I’m not happy with the explanation, because my preference would have been that they explained this to us before release, delayed the figure a month and found a way to put some kind of nice art on the packaging.

But it is an explanation and I appreciate that they are being honest - even if it’s not ideal. It doesn’t reek of BS.

Asmus has shown improvement on their product over the last two years. I’m happy about that. I will continue to support them. But…between the lack of art box, the Galadriel scratches and Gandalf hat, the issues I personally have been directly unhappy with, I won’t but direct from them until they make Haldir, Eowyn or a new Boromir. The characters I really want.

At the end of the day I don’t think people should boycott them over these issues but I do think Asmus needs to take care with their next few releases - and announce some things fans have been asking for, like Uruk-Hai and Galadhrim Soldiers.

Yes , they should have mentioned the Art Box situation before shipping.
And the figure shouldn’t be DX release

I wonder why Asmus just didn't send everyone an Arwen in the regular art box and for deluxers send out the furniture in a separate white box/shipper. This has been done in the past by Sideshow long ago with their deluxe Raiders Belloq and Toht. Didn't Asmus do that with the Legolas Troll head?

Yup! Even Star Ace did that for their Vincent 2.0 Deluxe version for the couch and extra accessories. Then they did something similar for the cowboy James Dean horse. I think even a sleeve over the foam (sort of like a cigar box band like what SS does now) could've been better than nothing

But, the problem is the postal situations and delivery cost from Taiwan to your countries are different and higher than usual because of the pandemic now (you can understand if you sent parcels abroad recently), So we can't afford the shipping cost to send them to all order's owners.

I have cancelled my last order, smeagol. But I do have a local supplier that I used to purchase non dx asmus stuffs from. I need to ask if he orders directly from asmus website, but if he does, can you guys include the flatbox to his next shipment? I have no more asmus orders but I'm sure he has more asmus orders from his other customers. If you can, I will email you his details.

Truly, Rovi, thanks for your effort. But I still do not understand why we DX orderers have to pay extra shipping to get something as basic as the art box - specially when it is still not clear why extra Fedex shipping costs without previous warning. This is simply nor right.

yes, I agree. That is exactly why I asked Rovi if I can get the artbox shipped to my supplier.

Ain't no way I am paying more after what I spent on the DX, and the extra shipping cost.
It's just too much.
