I hear ya.

Only baddies from lotr I have are grishnakh and 1st release saruman both of which I havent even taken out of their shippers yet.

MOS looks great but not sure how far I wanna go into the villains.... exception for Sauron if that ever gets released. We shall see.

Yeah, baddies are popular, but for me not necessarily something I need on the shelf to look at all the time. Lately for me tho occasionally it's more of whether the design strikes me - MOS always did, and the Twilight King is too cool looking to pass up.

Sometimes tho like with Thanos or maybe even Sauron, just having an "element" for me is enough, like Thanos' gauntlet. I think for Sauron, for me, just having a nice version of the Ring on display would be enough, or maybe some background art.

Comparison pics anyone? Looks like they did add some mud to his robes

I know the Slim Version has no steed, but asking in this thread anyways:

Are the Steed for Ringwraith and Mouth of Sauron the same?

for both toy and movie:

No they are not, they have complete different gears

One of my favorite figure sets in my collection. Just an impressive display, all around.

By the way, I was able to obtain a loose Frodo's mithril shirt to have the MoS holding up.

Thank you Asmus! Just bought 4 Figures from you guys in the last 2 weeks. I hope you will revisit the Ringwraith and also its Steed someday! Would be an instant buy for me, maybe even more than one - Just my most Iconic enemies of this genre

Thanks again for the great comparison pics! That helps.

Got a double dose from the land of Middle Earth. I actually got the Witch King a month ago, but needed a replacement robe from Asmus because of some spilled super glue on the original.

These guys both look nice and I'm overall impressed with Asmus.

Pros:, outfits are well tailored. Weapons are metal. Bodies feel firm. Details are good.
Cons, I wish the underlying body wasnt white especially on the Mouth as you can see it through the arm wraps.
Boots have no articulation.

I need suggestions...on the witch king...I cant get the frills above the shoulders to sit flat. Anyone else have a suggestion?

I love the design of The Mouth of Sauron and imagine that he would look amazing on a shelf. I just cannot get my head around having this figure without the steed no matter how hard I try to convince myself...it?s almost like getting a Classic X-Men Professor X figure without the wheelchair. Trying to convince myself though because the figure looks excellent.

Got to love those shoes!

I wish the Mouth with Steed had come with that Mithril shirt.

Agreed. I was fortunate enough to snag a loose Mithril shirt on ebay some time ago. I've got the original release with the steed and it should have come with it as well, as that is THE pose to have; MoS holding up that shirt while grinning that evil grin.

*shrug* I'm less of a purist in some ways - don't mean that in a negative way. Since I don't usually do baddies picked this guy up because the creepiness factor IMO is superb, not so much what he actually did in the film.

And it's a superb figure esp. at the price point. ASMUS did fantastic:clap. Figure if I even really, really need a horse I'll source one and do some futzing. What I really need is another figure to round out the "baddies" trio of MOS and Witch King. Sauron would be best for my display - maybe.

That said I wish ASMUS would put out some horses separately, I need one for my Zorro PO.

I love this guy. One of my favorite baddie designs in the trilogy. Was lucky to grab him the first time around with the steed.

Favorite part is the interchangeable face plates. What a great solution! Even though he's only in a few minutes of the Extended Edition of RotK, he has so many iconic expressions that it was impossible for Asmus to pick just one. So they picked them all!

I'm always a fan of a figures with portraits that have a little emotion or attitude going on rather than a neutral "museum" expression, but admittedly that can go wrong very easily and won't please everyone. But this guy is the best of both worlds!

Still debating whether I want an additional slim version so I can have him in a Detolf with the rest of the figures, rather than on top of the shelf in the hallway (one of the only places he'd fit because of the steed). But there's always space and money and common sense to consider ...

So what?s to stop anyone contacting him now to make a deal?

Apparently nothing...this guy just devalued the premium memberships of everyone else who has one...post once in the middle of a thread...let it sit for days...go underground and simply wait for PMs. If I sold here I would be questioning the value of that premium membership right now.

And yes, I’d be annoyed if I was a Premium member; seems shenanigans like this used to be shut down much quicker. I see similar posts evading board commerce rules more frequently these days, and they persist rather than get deleted.

As slow as this thread...actually these boards in general have been these days you would think it would be easier to catch and address something like this...oh well...
