Super Freak
We're not really discussing the eyebrow. We're discussing the eye itself being askew unnaturally. The brow doesnt matter.
Nice! I was going to use a JX S01 myself.Seen in facebook one sixth republic by Henry Jones, body replace View attachment 558150View attachment 558151
Not really....Asmus looks more like Evil Dead 1 AshAmsus looks far more like Bruce Campbell and just looks way better in general
That's why I don't panic cancel anything. And if it does indeed turn out **** I'll do what I can to make it better. It's part of the fun in the hobby.I personally am shocked how this thread went from absolute hatred and fact that this was a 100% fail based on not having the figure in hand and only going off the first wave of poor quality photos to turning around to the concensus that it is a pretty decent release now that folks are getting it in hand.
Oh, wait, no I'm not...thus is how this seems to go on the majority of releases. What surprises me is it's now just newbs who joined the forum this month making these classic conclusions.
Not saying it's perfect, but GD when will people learn. There is some dude on youtube that made a whole video parroting the early comments as fact and doesn't even have the figure in hand. Newb

That thor body looks great, changing the body is great improve. So I swapped "Hero Ash" over to a Hot Toys Dark World Thor Body. Stock ripped shirt, boots, pants, chainsaw, harness. Watch was in a parts drawer. Belt with correct buckle was in parts drawer.

Still not loving the paint apps on Ash's head, especially those super wonky eyes, but I'm happy to see there is potential for customizing and mixing/matching. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!

I still feel like there’s a big drop in quality from proto to production but like rzeznikk said I wasn’t going to panic cancel before I saw it for myself and I can work with everything I’ve seen so far.
I’m still extremely happy that I canceled this figure. The figure dropped enough in quality for me to not want to spend $350+ on it. I don’t customize, so I still would have been SOL.I personally am shocked how this thread went from absolute hatred and fact that this was a 100% fail based on not having the figure in hand and only going off the first wave of poor quality photos to turning around to the concensus that it is a pretty decent release now that folks are getting it in hand.

Yeah same here. The torn shirt is a pretty iconic look, but kinda hard to pull off well in 1/6 scale, and I'd just rather have the look he had in the vast majority of the movie. If I do get a standard I'll be happy with the full shirt. He only spends about two minutes in the torn version. If you want to get truly accurate you torn shirt peeps need to paint a big white streak in his hair. lol
Yeah, I won't defend this set. And for those that Are looking for straight out of the box and display might still be disappointed. The biggest glaring issue is the Deadite head not fitting on the Stock body correctly.--
With utmost respect, the three of you have the benefit of experience and skill to customize/fix what you don't like about the figure out of the box and the primary cost is your effort and time along with materials/supplies.
Not all have the expertise and skills you do as "customizers" and hoped a $350.00 USD figure would be as good as it gets out of the box, but . . .
The preceding is not meant as a criticism to any of you. It's simply a statement of fact. There are those with the expertise and skills to fix the figure in varying degrees and those who don't and cannot while not necessarily be able to spend additional $ to fix known issues that the brand did not.

--When did that happen? I still think is sucks , especially for 350…..
With so many people complaining that everyone was complaining……people stopped complaining…..
I doubt many of them changed their minds, They just voted with their wallets and went on their way.
