Does anyone know if Sideshow ever intends to produce backdrops/scenery to compliment PF marvels and their bases. Like a lot of people here I like displaying complimentary PFs together like hulk and thing, cap and red skull. I think back drops and additional scenary would add alot to these displays.

i'm in the same idea frame as you, but you'll most likely have to make something on your own, since i highly doubt ssc will ever make anything like that.:monkey2

I'm sure they would like to, depending on how well the 1/6th ones cost. You'd be better off making or commissioning your own since 1/4th ones probably won't happen for ages.

Yeah I have always wanted some type of backdrop. At my old place of work we had a huge printer that printed on adhesive paper and I made my own background for my Ghost Rider display. Wish I still worked that so I: could do some more.

Very cool Jmarch!

Following the topic of this thread, I just want to say that I am sometimes worried for the level of consumism we are "arriving to"(? sorry I am not an English speaker). I mean, why pay for other complents for our statues when we can do them ourselves? IMO back drops and additional scenery are for the uncreative or lazy people

I understand your point, and it may be true of backdrops which can be printed from professional prints.

But unless a person has a lot of artistic skill in making environments, they would be hard to create and still maintain the quality and integrity of the statues themselves.

I do not have to the skills to create a quality environment and would be worried that anything I put together out of styrofoam and paint or whatever other material would cheapen the quality and presence of professionally made statues, that have already cost a good amount of money to purchase.

Anybody know any toy/model/kit retailers I could look up for scene expansions for PF statues. Basically looking for things like stone walls, rock, stone or concrete looking bases to use as extensions to the PF bases. Thanks.

Sideshow did make a 12 inch figure environment for the GI Joe line. They'll have to enlarge the idea a bit for the premium format though. And I am sure it will cost some $$$$. They can call it Exclusive Expansion beside the exclusive version. :)

Yeah, I like a backdrop for most of my collectibles too. I ended up making my own.

Coco's displays are the best. Clean and classy! :rock

This is currently the only backdrop I have going. I wish they did a lot more of these. Would love to have one behind every PF & comiquette on my shelf..
