This is probably been covered a dozen times.

I have a few questions about the batteries iin Hot Toys.

First, can you change the batteries when they run out? And how easy is it?

Second, I read an article regarding batteries "leaking" and destroying the figures. Has anyone experienced this? Should the batteries be removed if they are not being used?

Thanks in advance.

Ill bite. From what Ive heard, most people remove the batteries if they are storing the figure for long periods of time. Ive never had any of my batteries leak and I leave them in all my figures. As for changing batteries, its as easy as unscrewing a tiny screw and swapping the batteries.

I haven't had any of the batteries leak yet either and I have them in the figures and on display to this day.

To add on further from Furyan post: You will need a small watch screw driver set to unscrew the small screws with success.

For Batteries. Check on ebay or check at your local stores.

i hav the iron man 2 figures which i hadnt opened, but recenlty opened them to check the batteries, sure enough my war machine batteries had started showing signs of rustin/rottin/leaking.. so now i remove all the batteries and another funny thing that happend , i had kept all the batteries wrapped away in a paper, 2 days back ,it looked like a couple of batteries had popped open , i.e. in 2 pieces lol

You can just bring the ones you want replaced to any watch / electronics store and they will give you more.. for money of course.

I leave all mine in - I have every predator that has Bio lights, IronMan2, IG-88, Wesker, three terminators not including the water snake thing, the BBI Cyborg set and several Hasbro Jawas and they all still light up but I literally never use that feature so I probably should just remove the batteries altogether.

It seems people who have them stored this happens.

I have all of my figures on display and my MKIII and DX02's (which I had since release) batteries were completely fine... almost wished I didn't bother to check because getting all those batts back in is a pain. MKIII has like 12 batteries!

Its literally only my laziness that keeps from removing the batteries. Yeah the old Iron man has lights everywhere, you would have thought they could have centralized the power source somewhat...
