There's going to be a prequel set 50 years before the current show.

I love the new BSG, I just hope they don't over do it like they did with the Star Trek franchise.

That sounds like it'll be either mind-blowingly cool or else kinda lame. I could see a kick ass mini-series but a full blown on-going series...?

in the original do you mean THE original or the new one?? i liked the old one, but the new one is incredible. i wonder if EJO will be in it?? they could always use CGI to make him look younger like they did in Xmen

Oh....Well.. I mean the original remake... The original original was ok, but nothing close to what the new series is...

I don't know how old Adama is supposed to be in the current series, but 50 years earlier would make the character a teenager if not a child, so I don't see Eddie participating in it, unless he plays his own grandfather or something.

Yeah, good point Dave.. he would not even be 10 years old yet. I think that they will take it into areas we would not imagine.... As always. If I've learned anything about this new BSG.... it's that they certainly always do what I would not expect, with a few exceptions.

There's a new site devoted to news about Caprica. Producer Remi Aubuchon says that Adama is 11 years old. There's also going to be a web only series called The Resistance. That should be interesting.

Once again, instead of coming up with an original idea the Sci-Fi network has to milk its best show just like they did with Stargate. Imagine!

I would disagree that Stargate was ever Sci-Fi's best show, however I think a spin-off is a good idea if they can keep up the quality.

I'd rather see a Farscape spin-off of course.
