BBC - Luther

[Giant Chicken]

I am a huge fan of The Wire. It is my favorite show of all time (with Boardwalk Empire giving it a run for it's money).

Anyway, I stumbled across the BBC show Luther on Netflix last week. The first season is only 6 episodes long and stars Idris Elba (The Wire). This show is really good/fun. Luther is a cop who breaks all of the rules to bring in the criminals. It is smart, fun and a bit far fetched at times. If you need a new show to watch I HIGHLY recommend Luther, especially for all you Stringer Bell fans.

The second season is only 4 episodes long and is not on Netflix yet.

Two episodes in. It's good so far! Second season is on Netflix by the way. I wrongly assumed for whatever reason this was a miniseries about MLK Jr. when I first saw the thumbnail for the show ages ago. Is it only 10 episodes long or was there a third season?

Third season aired last September (4 episodes) and for the most part wrapped things up very well. There is a rumor of a film but...

Great series. Wish they did more episodes in the 2nd and 3rd season though. Really tense drama even the missus loved it

Actually watched this for the first time last night, just got Netflix. Wasn't really impressed.

Distance yourself from dramas. Nothing really compares. After I finish a show I really enjoy, I find something totally different to rinse my palette so to speak. It's a shame to hear this show is so short. British television is so different than American television which normally doesn't affect me until I find a BBC show worth watching. First Sherlock, now Luther.

Luther is an excellent show. I, too, hope for more. Idris is the man.
