Hey I hope it's not a big deal to start a thread for this, but I had a few questions that I couldn't find the answers to and figured I could just ask here. After seeing the reveal of the Hot Toys Dark Knight I am pretty much sold on a preorder. However, since the Exclusive is sold out, I was planning on just putting in my preorder for the Regular, and I noticed BBTS has it for $60 cheaper than Sideshow. My question is if they offer a Flex-Pay like thing like Hot Toys does or is it always just a single, one-off payment?

Also, if it is a single payment, do they just charge your card upon delivery, or do they charge at the time of preorder? Are shipping charges comparable to Hot Toys? I noticed that despite the increased price through Sideshow, they aren't offering free shipping. Any other online stores I should consider preordering from? I just usually get my stuff from Sideshow.

Finally, would you guys think it's a better idea to just go for the regular version or get on the waitlist for the exclusive? Just not sure how likely it is to get the waitlist conversion, as I am not quite sure when the sellout finally occurred. Thanks for any help, guys!

BBTS doesn't charge for pre-orders or cancellations and they only charge upon arrival in their warehouse.

BBTS only takes a single payment but you don't pay until it's in stock and ready to ship.

Exactly... Is an empty cowl worth it?? And I really don't want to order the regular and waitlist the exclusive, as I could end up with two! Any comment on shipping from BBTS versus Sideshow?

Only you can decide whether it's worth waitlisting the exc. at the risk of missing out on the reg. Personally I wouldn't risk it if I really wanted the figure. BBTS have their shipping rates per pound on the site. SSC's shipping, to OS at least, is cheaper than BBTS 'cause they have a deal with FedEx.

But charge more for shipping? Im asking because I have ordered from Sideshow direct and Alter Ego, and notice that even though Alter Ego Shipps Double box (which protects the Art Boxes) they charge more for shipping then Sideshow. Is this the same for BBTS?

BBTS shipping charges aren't bad, and anyway you're sure to get an undamaged item.

Here are the estimated shipping rates from BBTS I found on the website. Not bad if you go for UPS. Does this mean you have the option of choosing your shipping method? If you go with UPS product plus shipping is still cheaper than product only from SS.

UPS Ground $19.09

Delivery usually takes 3 - 7 days. This method is trackable.


USPS Parcel Post Mail $24.00

Delivery usually takes 5 - 10 days. This method is not trackable.


USPS Priority Mail $46.00
