First off, with the mess created by the H-wes controversy, I apologize if i am breaking any rules.( if so please close the thread)

I got in contact with Spenser Re: the commision of a 1969 Beatles set, He informed me that another board member had just gotten in contact with him re: the commission of a 1964 Beatles set.
Spenser send me an em sayin it was ok for me to start an interest thread.

When I tried to get my project off the ground with Darren the instruments proved to be the most difficult element to locate. Most scaled replica's of the instruments are in 1:4 scale rather that 1:6 scale.

I'm Howes-wary now. So, I won't be buying any custom stuff.

But, if you want 1/6 guitars, there are papercraft guitars for Mac's Hofner and Len's Rickenbacker, and a 6 string Rick that can be modded to George's 12 string. With some wood working skills, these can be used as templates to make string wooden versions if so inclined.

I also found a set of papercraft drums that can be modded to Ringo's Ludwigs with photoediting software.

Not Yet. Spenser just sent me an email sayin he will start the 64 Beatles in 2 Weeks, then modify them to 69 Beatles.. Not what I wanted, but hey, im gettin them anyway.

I think he was talking about the papercraft instruments.

You can count me in for a '69 set. It could take a long time to complete the figures, but if the sculpts are good, it would be worth the trouble.

i dont understand why he doesnt make a set of 64s, cast them and sell them, then modify them to 69s and sell those too.

this imo would be the best idea, since i would love to own both.
