Best Big Chap Figure/Statue?

Hey guys I just joined up to ask for some expert advice. I'm in the market for the most accurate version of Big Chap for under $400. What would you guys say is my best bet. I dont care if its a figure or a statue. So far I'm leaning most towards the medicom rah big chap, but that paint job is so weak.

I don't even think an Alien statue has ever been made under $400, let alone a Big Chap. If it's that particular one you're looking for...especially for $400 or below, then I would say a figure from NECA is gonna be your best bet. If you wanted a statue of the Big Chap for under $400, then I believe you have no choice but to go for a bust. The Sideshow Big Chap LSB is available now, but you run a very high risk of quality assurance failure if you decide to pick it up. Good luck, dude.

Best to date in my opinion is big chap maquette. But it was 650.00 to 700.00 retail. I like his size and standing up height and awesome pose. Details are amazing!

I was lucky and bought the maquette for $1049 a month or so ago. It was from some big store on the internet, which escapes me now. Most people are selling him for double or more. I think if a store is selling it, as rare as that is, someone might get lucky, too.

I can't ****ing believe I'm about to say these words, *sigh*...but I agree with ComicBookGuy.

I think the big chap pose is perfect.

You'll never get the best for that kind of money but there are a few very good ones none the less. The best would be the Sano kits, the ssc Maquette is also very nice as mentioned. For the budget, you could consider the new Kaiyodo Big Chap figure, it's stylised but still very cool..

The small SS Chap diorama or 1/6 statues are not bad either, both can be had for around that price.

Are you sure? This makes me feel good that I bought mine for 650.00 shipped. That's also coming n when this was long sold out. At the time he was going for 700.00..... Is 800.00 retail? Wow! As for the pose it is the best. Love the angry tall standing pose. The height is so much better than a sitting statue in my opinion. The presence of this tall big chap is like no other.

That's an insane price for that statue! Congrats! I would have jumped at the chance to get one for that close to $1000.

I would wait to see how NECA's new 1/4 scale figure turns out. The sculpt is excellent, hopefully with good paint apps and a good factory it'll be the Alien figure to have.

For under $400, if you have some painting and modelling skills you may go for 18" NECA and mod it. I just coated my NECA Queen with Tamiya pearl and normal lacquer, did some mod on her, drill this and that, make her pose, add in plastic and wooden base. Oh boy she looks sooooo amazing now.
Otherwise I'd go for 1/5 Sideshow Big Chap. The price is still right for that one I presume?
