Um I dont know if this is normal or not, but Im noticing paint discoloration on some of my pieces. I dont know if its chipped or if its due to dust. I've only had the pieces open for a month but they have not been in Detolfs or any other display case (just out in the open).

Is it normal to find discolored specs... its not a major problem but I found one on Scarlet Witch, 3 on Namor's diorama, 2 on Gambit's hand, and 3 on the deathstrike diorama. I dont think they were there before. I just started dusting my pieces... and bought some touchup paint but im a bit discouraged now... Im new to collecting and have 10 statues... Im thinking I shouldnt open any more until I get my display cases set up. I have almost 20 pieces on pre-order... and I dont know if its something I did or if its a defect (lack of primer on Sideshow's end).

Could it be due to the fact that the dust sat there on the piece? .... I havent dusted them until today, but they've only been display for less than a month.

That sounds like you have something in the air; are you spraying Febreeze or something? The only statue I have ever had that had 'specks' was the Asajj Ventress EX head and Sideshow sent me a replacement.

Do you live near the beach or another place that is a humid environment? It might be mold caused by humidity or damp.

the climate is dry, I think it might be due to the fact that I leave the backdoor open for my dog, and winter has come so when the heat kicks in condensation happens. although looking at the pieces again, the specs are smaller now. I got touch-up acrylic paint and fixed the deathstrike diorama since it was on x-23's black suit. the one that I dont want to touch is Namor's skin... its under his pits and its not a flat flesh tone. I bought 3 different shades of flesh tone to mix. Its not that serious, but I was wondering will cold weather chip the paint? My dog loves the winter and gets too hot inside.

I think its probably best to wait until I move to my new place (3-5months) and store them in an airtight bookshelve case. I think that 30 day inspection policy is ridiculous. They should at least specify what paint to touch-up if problems like this pursist. My other PF's are fine and the Hulkbuster and Silver Surfer Comiquettes are fine. I moved the statues into a dark room upstairs. Its the first time I've collected polystone... thought it was a little bit more durable.

Don't let people like him get to you. There are a few like him here.

I would address it to Sideshow.
